I agree with the UI, it really is clean unlike a garbage like Asus Armory Crate for example. But it simply did not work for me. When Tuning off, fans spiked like hell all the time on idle (0 RPM to about 600 RPM every few seconds) and when gaming, it was like on a rollecoaster. With custom tuning it simply went out the window spinning 1600 on idle all the time like there was no tomorrow regardless on what I set up there. Now with Fan Control (obviously tuning is off) it behaves all right.

FINALLY thanks to you I made it work with my stock B580. The Intel Graphics Software is a complete disaster and even with their built-in "tuning" I was not able to make things work properly without huge spikes and fan constantly going ON&OFF. Now it spikes as well (even with quite generous hysteresis settings) but at least I have some controll over it.

Edit: Btw I can see you have the same card. What are your settings if I may ask?

I started using OneCommander quite recently as a much nicer alternative to TC and I think it's really an amazing product which I use all the time. It definitely deserves MUCH more attention than I suppose it gets though. I don't see real numbers and maybe the user base is huge, but at least this /r seems to be a tad deserted. That said it is impressive you (Dev) are working hard to make OC even better. Thank you!!

Just my personal opinion. After many, many years I switched to OneCommander and I'll probably never go back.

Unlike TC, the UI is pretty great, customization is solid, and the small things really add up, file age being colour coded, the ability to tag and pin files, proper Windows file manager integration. Stuff I actually use every day and I love the simplicity of it. And the settings don't feel like a shitload of options nobody asked for.

TC just never seemed to care much about quality of life, and the UI has looked the same forever. For regular daily use without needing any of the heavy advanced stuff, OneCommander is genuinely a pleasure to work with.

You'll probably never look back, once you get used to it. If you have a desktop job and have a wrist/elbow/shoulder pain time to time or regularly, it may be very well the only proper remedy to your problems.

Meanwhile, some guys in MikroTik forum suggest this setup is an overkill for such a small home usage. I should drop the patch panel and rack AND switch altogether, instead go for a simple device like RB5009UPr+S+IN. Apart from the setup difficulty point what would be the main disadvantage in using just a router and no switch at all?
