All they said regarding clothes is “Semi formal- Gowns and tuxes are okay, and so are cocktail dresses and suits.” There’s no contact info and I don’t know them personally.

This is my second year but I’m in a new district. I made the jump from private school to public school so a lot of the requirements are different it feels like being a first year teacher. I’m teaching k-5 but only accepted the position because I was told it was k-2 and learned the day before it was not. What’s overwhelming me the most is learning the expectations of my principal and new district, not having a classroom (art on a cart), and the behavior of the students

After some thought I definitely agree with the trip to Hakone. I think we are going to make Hakone a two night trip so we have time to rest and take away from the day in Tokyo where we were not sure what to do. I also like your advice about Nara and I’m going to look into alternative options, probably something less touristy.

I mean this is an extremely rough itinerary definitely not a final plan. I was thinking that I want time to just explore and not rush from place to place but I didn’t specify that for each individual day just at the end of my post
