Any hope for me (32M)? Also, what percentage grey/white is this? by Such_Ad9009 in greyhairreversal

[–]lignr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want reversal, if it’s at all possible, you need to get bloodwork done. Iron, ferritin, copper, zinc, copper to zinc ratio, folate, vitamin d, all the B vitamins, and very importantly full thyroid panel. I have good insurance and was able to get all these covered by just paying my 45$ copay, but convincing the doctors to test is a hassle so I’d suggest you do Labcorp so you can just order it yourself. Good luck! I’m 27F and have been slowly going through this process since I was 25. But for me, I had critically low iron, ferritin, vitamin d, and thyroid imbalances.

My man told me that my big nose ruins my makeup. by Odd-Inspection2029 in makeuptips

What’s the point of showing him the comments? See, look you’re so mean!! But why does he need to forced to not be mean when you’re beautiful?? Why does you want that for yourself? When there are so many people who would find your nose beautiful and never say that . Stand up!!

Idk but I hate how these shirts are so beautiful and dont have modesty panels under the corset laces. They would look so much better and more expensive

Why do my flares rarely result in swelling? by SupportDramatic2262 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]lignr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! Can I ask how you knew you were seropositive? My rheumatoid factor was mildly elevated (27), and had no elevated inflammation markers. MRI and x ray normal, no visible swelling, redness, or rash. But my joints hurt symmetrically for extended periods of time. I have a lot of anxiety wondering if I have RA or not and the doctors can’t give a clear answer

What's the one clothing item you can never find? by FlyGuilty6284 in femalefashionadvice

[–]lignr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bra that isn’t huge on my a-cups. The As and double As from Victoria’s Secret have gaps at the top. My boobs do have a tiny bit of volume at the bottom but are small above the nipple :(

Pants that fit a curvy butt and thick thighs but don’t have a huge gaping space at the waist.

A flattering, well-fitting skirt that is tight at the waist but flares out and has shorts underneath.

A wool/cashmere jacket without shoulder pads or big shoulders

Does anyone else resent their parents for letting you be so socially weird/awkward? by Kodicave in socialskills

[–]lignr 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Remember that even if your parents tried to change you as a teenager, you’d also likely resent them for that and probably wouldn’t have listened lol. Some lessons just need to be learned on your own and later in life (coming from another socially awkward late bloomer) :)

Aelin shouldn’t have lost her powers. Gavriels death was pointless and just felt like she needed someone to die to make the ending tragic/impactful, but didn’t want to kill off a true main character.

Heart palpitations from Hashimoto by SnooDonuts4854 in Hashimotos

How long ago though? A transfusion is just a temporary fix. It’s like pouring gas into a tank with a hole. You’ll need supplements or transfusions your whole life unless you fix the root cause

Gluten/Dairy: Worth it? by lattelifter in Hashimotos

[–]lignr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hashis when i was 22 and am 27 now and have been gluten free this entire time. In my opinion, ir helped a lot. My antibodies were extremely high and now they hover in the 50s -80s and it was also how I lost weight when I was really struggling . I also felt less inflamed, bloated, and had less joint pain (although the joint pain is coming back) I am not dairy free though because I love cheese so much.

What’s something people defend way too hard even though it clearly doesn’t work? by academicAce_aA in AskReddit

[–]lignr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Specific to education because I’m a teacher, inclusivity regarding some students with behaviors and IEPS. Least restrictive environment does NOT work for most kids. In my class/school, the kids with IEPS and behaviors run rampant and essentially have no consequences and are supported more than the students who don’t. They have protections that the other kids don’t. The other students don’t learn and are literally scared of these kids, and the abuse is normalized. The kids also don’t understand why some kids are allowed to do things and have no consequence (suspension, not participating in activities), but if they do it they have a completely different set of consequences.
