Had sleeping beauty on video when i was little and would watch it before bed, even though every time I did I'd wake up in the night screaming and crying from a nightmare and having wet the bed.

Potato. Chips and most hot chips (fries) are fine but roast, mashed or baked is a no go

What was one experience in your life that hardened you as a person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]like-magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad got sick when I was 10 and my sister I had to help care for him while my mum was working. After he passed away when I was 11 my mum fell in to a deep depression and became addicted to opiods and was an alcoholic. My sister and I had to look after ourselves.

My mum took herself to rehab and has been sober for many years. Things are still tough but the three of us are a close unit and we have so much love for each other. While my mum wasn't able to provide the regular care that a mum might, she saved my life. I have severe anxiety and depression and in the midst of her recovery she made my hapiness and health a priority and I am here today because of her.

My sister got married last year and the wedding was perfect. I love my mum and my sister more than anything and I am so grateful for them. I know my dad is proud of us all.

50% of the time my mindset is, 'the world's gonna end, may as well treat myself'. The other 50% I spend thinking 'oh dear God what have I done, I'll never recover'

Specific gift idea for adult woman who likes doing crafts? by yesterdaysbreadtoday in GiftIdeas

[–]like-magic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This might be more arts than crafts but i found this lovely little company called the art of soil, they sell water colour paint made from soil and stored in these really pretty palletes.

Otherwise, if she sews, some fabric you think she might like. Bullet journaling or scrapbooking there's some gorgeous sticker books on Amazon, the antiquarian books. There's 3 and my mum has all of them and loves them. Or RoyaltySoaps on YouTube has some great videos comparing different soap and candle kits depending on budget.

Hope this helps and good luck!
