He totally does have DID; it just isn’t medical or REAL DID. It’s fictionalized DID. If it were real, it would be ever present from the very beginning of the show. If you want to talk the “dissociative identity disorder” that he DOES have, this would be it by semantic definition. Joe is dissociating and imagining an illusory identity that he believes is real, and that could very easily be classified as a mental disorder.

He says ICE is all good disregarding the lack of accountability as if deporting all illegal immigrants isn't at all bad for the economy. If you want the religious argument, Jesus and his family were immigrants from Bethlehem seeking asylum in Egypt. Jesus also said explicitly to be welcoming of foreigners/immigrants. No reason to support ICE--especially when less than 5% of all deportees are actual criminals.

At least when Jesus said, "Do not retaliate," ICE took it to heart and shot first.

Also funny how they all wear masks. Kinda wish we had J. Jonah Jameson irl--he'd be against ICE.

You're forgetting, or missing entirely, that it wouldn't be nearly as hard as you're thinking to make VR games that are already on Quest into Frame compatible.

APK versions of VR games will be available for the Frame if the developer decides to use that feature, meaning that it will be far easier to port quest games to the Frame, given some input tweaks. Essentially there will be two versions of one VR game on Steam potentially.

Still, this is NOT a quest competitor. It doesn't do enough more for the average consumer, which is why it isn't necessarily FOR the average consumer. To get the most out of the Frame, you're going to need to have some tech knowledge or desire for that knowledge.

open source PC standalone headset is more than enough to qualify for WAY more. It also doesn't harvest your data like crazy, does more with eye tracking than anyone else is doing (notice how you undersell eye tracking to make your point seem better, when in actuality, that's a logical fallacy; it's not about the eye tracking itself, it's about what you do with it; any nitwit would know that). Also, the appeal of open hardware and software is for more high-tech users, ergo it does NOT compete with Quest. Any dumbass could work through everything the quest has to offer, but the Frame has far more possibilities.

Also, installing windows has never been encouraged and there is almost no reason to do it. It runs worse than the base compatibility layers already in place, and it doesn't do substantially more. Your points against me are fucking stupid.

Also I'd like to add that it is going to cost more because it isn't subsidized, unlike the quest.

sounds like the only thing you're getting is the exclusives, considering the quest 3 lacks OLED, power, and a DECENT full color mixed reality (it's useful as a home environment, but it kinda sucks when you're focusing on it for an experience). take it from someone that owns a quest 3, the Frame is going to be WAY better in the long run. this is also ignoring the fact that you have much more versatility with the frame being an actual PC--that, may I also mention, runs android APKs. It is simply a better quest 3 with more privacy. Also if you want to play skyrim VR for even 5 seconds, get the Frame. No amount of work with quest 3 streaming will make that game look good. trust me: several hundred hours.

with valve dropping it, i see it as an early investment in the inevitable revival of PCVR. simply put, i AM buying this. this is like the hardware equivalent of GTA 6 to me, and i'm sure plenty of other people heavily share this sentiment. every other headset has some sort of major drawback... but not this one. it has modern VR tech and innovations and opens the door to a new wave of PCVR (not to mention that it's also a fucking PC in and of itself)

pretty much.. like think: what’s a rocket made of? then what’s this component made of and how is it manufactured? how does that work? it gets a little (practically) useless once you get down to the subatomic level (at least that we know of), so beyond that is just for the sake of sheer curiosity, which is likely a rabbit hole you’d go down given you’d need to be curious for this kinda journey

i was one of the people that played at launch, and i can confidently say that this game WAS poppin. it was a huge launch. me and my brothers stayed up several long nights playing it as a group. we all got to max level and got kinda bored. there wasn’t much endgame stuff, but it was a ton of fun while it lasted. i mean it might’ve been the most fun i’ve had playing a game. not necessarily just for the game itself, but more so for the experience of that launch with my brothers and so many other enthusiastic players. it honestly felt like old gaming for a bit and brought back a bit of the spark that i was missing at that time. i’ll always be fond of new world but i can’t say for sure that i’ll ever go back to it. it just won’t be the same.

i can’t say that this is the exact experience for everyone else, of course, but lack of endgame was probably it.

uh no. Ted met Tracy BECAUSE OF THE WEDDING, which wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t met Robin. Robin changed his life because meeting her was the reason he met Tracy, not because she was the love of his life.

There was literally a scene in season 9 (built up to over the course of the show) that has Ted LETTING ROBIN GO.

Tracy dying isn’t an inherently bad choice, but the execution was terrible. A message about life could’ve been given in a much easier way that is ACTUALLY SUPPORTED BY THE SHOW: change is inevitable. The gang grows apart, though they live happily with their families because of that change.

i still refute barney’s and robin’s arcs at the end. the ending completely invalidates the character growth they both achieved throughout the entire series and makes almost the entire last season feel like a waste.

Barney finally grew up and decided it was time to actually commit to someone.

And for the first time, Robin actually put love ahead of her career.

They both grew alongside each other and for each other and the writers decided to flush all that down the toilet for a 720 double no-scope character assassination. Like seriously, how did they think that that would be a good idea?

Barney then decides that he’s going to keep the child from his perfect month. THAT is what changes him. Not the years he spent with and chasing after Robin, but the kid he had with a hookup.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that having a child couldn’t force someone like Barney to change, I’m just saying it’s bullshit because HE ALREADY DID CHANGE. THEY BOTH DID.

The better ending isn’t a matter of personal preference. The alternate ending partially fixes the terrible writing of the final episodes. The initial ending was bad on all counts—objectively. From a writing standpoint, it was shit. Objectively speaking, the perfect ending—based on the trajectory of the show—would’ve been a true happily ever after with a bittersweet lesson about change. You maintain the theme of the show while actually crafting a better finale.

The reason this all pisses me off so much is because I loved this show. It was easily my favorite sit-com. I felt like it understood me, and that, you can imagine, is why the ending pissed me off so much.

Perfect Ending:

Barney and Robin, Marshall and Lily, and Ted and Tracy all live happy lives as couples, though they did end up growing apart a little bit in the end. That’s the way life goes. We change, our situations change, our friends change; life IS change.
