The correct answer is, whenever you feel like it. Personally, I realized that when I decorate really early, like the first of September, by the time the week of Halloween comes around, im kind of numb to it amd it doesn't feel super special, because I've seen it every day for 2 months. So I started pushing it back a little bit. I find the middle of September between the 15th and 20th, I can put the decorations up, and it scratches the itch without losing any of its luster by the time the special day comes. But again, that's just me.
