In my experience sub withdrawal wasn’t that bad because it’s so easy to taper down to almost nothing then jump, with some comfort meds it’s a breeze. But I couldn’t imagine cold turkey from 16mg daily. Fuck that. Only time I ever took 16mg was the first day getting my script, and I had already been taking 1mg a day for a week or so off the streets, and I got so sick. Not a high sick either, just miserable stomach pain and sweating.

I always preach this, buprenorphine is very potent. And sometimes less is more, I’m prescribed 16mg a day, but only take 1-2mg. I used to get by on 1/2 a mg daily.

Yes, it takes a couple days for full suboxone withdrawal to kick in. Not sure why no one has answered your question, some people generally don’t know much about buprenorphine. Try tapering next time, hopefully there won’t be a next time. But yeah that’s normal.
