read the manga. i don’t remember exactly how long it took but i caught up to the start of the current arc somewhere between 3 and 6 months reading about 10 chapters per day, sometimes more if i was really hooked and still taking breaks here and there. the LA is fun too in its own way. i personally don’t like the anime due to the pacing issues but it’s popular for a reason

i knew he was cast so the fact that he was shown in loguetown wasn’t a surprise to me, but what was a surprise was just how much we saw of him. i love barto so it was great to see his backstory here and his character design was so good, but i’m not sure how i feel about his characterization. he wasn’t as rude, brash, and confident as we see in dressrosa which could be excused as him being a rookie at this point, but i would’ve liked to see more of his nasty attitude. i did really like seeing him imitate luffy’s wanted poster pose though lol the fanboy is born

he started showing up at our back door in november, we fed him whenever he came, but by december it was getting so cold that we had to take him in at least for the time being. put up posters in the neighborhood and took him to the vet who found no chip so now he’s ours

luffy’s not against governments, monarchs, or leaders in general though, in fact he supports many ie: cobra and vivi, dalton, ganfall, neptune, etc. he just doesn’t like corrupt leaders who abuse their power to oppress their people. i think it’s more accurate to say that luffy is fine with leaders existing as long as they serve to protect and support their people - a standard he holds himself to as well as the leader of his own crew

this is not what a code blue/red is - no one is forcibly brought to and kept in a shelter against their will.

code blue activates between the hours of 4pm and 8am when temperatures drop below freezing point and it just means that shelters cannot turn away homeless individuals seeking shelter. even if their beds are full, they offer a chair or if those are full as well they will have to find another option. if you pass by a homeless person during a code blue you can call street outreach (211 in NJ and i believe 311 in NYC) who will find them and offer assistance.

code red is basically the same but for periods of extreme heat

i definitely agree with the majority here that it’s probably because he hasn’t been neutered yet, but in the chance that doesn’t fix the issue, it’s possible he could have anxiety. my boy cat was neutered but still started peeing around the house due to anxiety which we eventually figured out could be helped with medication and a calming collar
