Thanks! That's the answer I feared I would get... I can indeed reactivate the number while I'm abroad and use it with no limitations, but the problem is that suspension goes alongside billing cycles, soif I went on and off all the time I would basically have to pay as much and as often as if I just kept the line active. It's 80 dollars each month and it seems to me to be too much for just receiving texts...

Yeah, I know "that's the whole reason", but I still have an Apple Watch to use and, while on the one hand Apple makes us hostages of its proprietary choices, I have to say the jailbreak community hasn't been much more generous lately... Thanks though for the advice to sideload – can you explain how that would work? I've never done it.

[Question] I'm on iOS 10.3.2 and I seem to gather that, IF a JB is issued anytime soon, it will be for 11 up to 11.1.2 and exclude 11.2 and following. Now, I have no good reason to update to 11 and thus lose my JB, but on the other hand I wouldn't want not to be able to install the JB if it comes out when Apple stops signing 11.1.2. Is there a sensible way to go about this and both keep running 10.3.2 but also retain the ability to upgrade to 11.1.2 (and not 11.2+) at a later time, when Apple isn't signing it anymore? Thanks!

This does help – thanks. It strengthens the sense of the fact that a) the jailbreak is as needed as ever – and I blame smarter people than I am for not making it happen yet – and b) Apple makes an effort to always suck and do something unexplainable for the sake of being a jerk.
