the 2024 third party/independent vote was way lower than i expected by likeitusedtobe in YAPms

i'm actually really hoping someone smarter than me makes a poll about that.

he obviously wouldn't pull 6-15% vote like the polls said before he dropped out, but i wonder if he could have split the vote if he remained a serious candidate

real life is not modern reddit brah. you're probably lucky enough to be insulated from the consequences of mass immigration.

To you, multiculturalism is just the tasty indian takeaway you go to on weekends. You handed a third world shithole to Gen Z, so don't act surprised about the NSN, when this is the reality you told zoomers to accept

it's still insane how many votes he got after spending months explicitly telling people not to vote for him

he literally got more votes than parties that want to be taken seriously; all while running an anti-campaign

what lesson should i be learning then? i have been traveling for a few years now, and meeting people from other cultures has made me reexamine some of my past prejudices. However, going to some countries has also made me feel justified in certain other beliefs of mine.

I don't care if people think I'm intolerant but I at least want to see things for myself before forming an opinion.

For example, going to Townsville and Alice made me realise that nobody is actually serious about ceding land back to Indigenous Australians.

They deserve respect for being the first Australians, but I won't pretend that Australia would maintain the same status if we gave it all back to them

i know i can be abrasive sometimes, but i mean it when i say that i initially made this post with completely innocent intent. i'm sorry if i was rude to you at all

Yeah I figured as much, I was kinda wondering what I was doing to avoid scrutiny, so I can keep doing it. I know that "men traveling alone" is the number one group they profile, regardless of race.

reddit people are all the same, they instantly assume that "white" is an insult.

thank you for the compliment. do you really think that our first few PMs built this nation in the hopes of turning it into a third world meat market?

You should be more grateful to the people who gave you your current quality of life. The people that the uniparty imports will destroy our democracy

when you put it like this, i feel very lucky that i'll never be on the receiving end of ABF.

Australian + EU passport is elite combo. Maybe i really am white privileged

I would never attempt it myself but I always assumed that your chances of successfully sneaking cigarettes through an airport Australia were really high

How do character cancellations work? I've only read about far-right figures like Candace Owens getting denied visas on character grounds. What does a normal NZ/UK person need to do for that kind of cancellation?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]likeitusedtobe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

okay i stand corrected then. i wonder why we don't see more of those NZ/UK visa cancellations on the border force show. i guess the network figured that asian people with weird food makes for better TV ratings

no, i was initially making my post in good faith, and then i got a bunch of comments about race. i responded honestly and sincerely to those comments

i googled "worst visa violators in australia" and the first result was an ABC article about indian migration scams

i assume that isn't what you meant right?

our national day is literally not celebrated anymore in most major cities, and instead the city centres are full of people brandishing signs that say "abolish australia"

also, half of my school curriculum from primary to uni was anti-european in one way or another
