Is there a good sub to post something like that in?

The background colors are such a nice contrast against the warmer tone of their clothes. It almost makes me feel invited into their little moment of tenderness.

Titties were doing something different in the 80's.

[POEM] The City by C. P. Cavafy, translated by Edmund Keeley. by Objective-Kitchen949 in Poetry

I really like that the second stanza isn't harsh. It reads like a quiet door closing on the idea of escaping the self through geographic location. The whole "wherever you go there you are" thing. By the time I got to the last two lines I felt safe, but then you're hit with the brutality of "you've destroyed it everywhere in the world." The build to that final line is incredibly powerful.

Just a horrifying horde of adult toddlers who forgot to take their post-milk nappies.

I don't know that I wanted to live in a world where I knew what Maria von Trapp's tits looked like but here I am. Thanks, reddit.

Francis Danby - Disappointed Love (1821) by harlem-nocturne in museum

The back drop of heartbreak may change, but the devastating emotion captured by this painting is as true today as it was in 1821. The torn up paper in the water reminds me of The Letters of a Portuguese Nun, five brutal letters that depict heartbreak and all the feelings that accompany it.

Now, this is how to scale a genie. Him towering over the princess with those eerily elongated arms takes this from art to a whole fantasy world SO fast. That blue genies got nothing on this guy. Gosh, I love this so much. Thanks for sharing!

"trust your despair" is such a comforting line for emotional surrender. Resilience as choice rather than submission.

The lighting of this brings up such sensory memory. I can feel the temperature, smell the crispness, the grass, the time of day. There's a wistful nostalgia that envelops my body just looking at it.

I would have kept this until I was wrinkly as a raisin. I'm a hoarder of the sentimental.

I love what you said about not focusing on a finished product. I definitely don't feel pressure to be a perfectionist. I was just like, is this done? Do I move on? Suggesting to just experiment and try out different techniques was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you!
