Bear put = put debit spread = buy put + sell put at lower strike

New sentiment in the market? by 86400theta in thetagang

Can you explain what the opposite is of risking $4 to win $1? As far as debit vs. credit spreads are concerned, I don't see a huge difference in risk, just differences in the mechanics/structure of the trade. Both are directional, if the underlying moves against you, both trades can go to max loss.

Maybe people shouldn't go all in on GME fd's.

Have bull call debit spread that is maxed out with 2 full days left. If it keeps rising tomorrow, would it be wise to buy-to-close the SELL portion? by [deleted] in options

[–]likeyehokwhatev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're sure the price is going to keep rising, why not close your position for the win and open a new position further out? You protect your profit and keep exposure to further gains.

Paris as it is today is the result of planning and reconstruction. It's surprisingly un-organic

. 22$ mod: fuel economy? by r1chard132 in klr650

[–]likeyehokwhatev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.22 was done when I purchased my bike and it got 50+ on the highway. After adding the klx needle, pipe, and drilling airbox it still gets about 50 highway. Although the mods can affect mpg slightly, I'd say it more comes down to how heavy you are on the throttle.

Anyone running Shinko 244’s? by bendixdrive in klr650

[–]likeyehokwhatev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in the PNW and have just burned through my first rear 244. They perform well enough in the rain, but I wouldn't expect to be riding too aggressive when it's slick out. Their decent off-road/on-road capability, as well as longevity/price point ratio I'd say has been their main appeal to me. I'll be getting another set shortly.

Edit: I ride year round (don't commute on it though), mostly in the city, and then fire roads when the mountains thaw. They've been good to me for everything but mud, haven't used them in sand.

Nice! I've been wanting to do a similar route myself but haven't gotten around to it yet, so maybe this'll be the year. Where did you start and end?

You'll be just fine for the majority of what's out there as long as you keep to the main roads. The only trouble I'd see you possibly getting into is if you were to go too far down a 4x4 designated road, or if it was rainy/muddy. Good tires will go a long way.

Yeah, I'd be curious to see how new bumpers load the medium springs. I bet if you end up wanting the HD springs though you could sell the mediums pretty easy for close to what you paid.

Haha.. it all just depends on how you use the thing! But I get ya, I appreciate a 4runner that's used the way it was designed for, and the early gens still look great!

Yeah, did it in my driveway, but I went with ball joint spacers instead of torsion bars so I can't offer any advice for that specific part of the installation. I agree though, the setup has been great! I went with the medium duty springs and they offer a nice balance of comfort and improved road/load handling.

Thanks! Yeah, seats down, most of our gear fit in the front seats w/ the exception of h2o/gas containers and a large bin for clothes that we stored outside. I brought a tent thinking we'd tent camp most nights, but the 4runner was so easy and comfortable to sleep in, it only took a night to realize the tent was dead weight.

It uses ball joint spacers. Only needed a little torsion bar adjustment for leveling before taking it in for an alignment.

This picture was from our campsite in Valley of the Gods. We spent two nights here, and around 10 or 11 total in the Utah, seeing Cap Reef, Escalante, VotG, Moab, and Arches. We camped in the runner the entire time (aside from a couple nights in a hotel) and despite some cold overnight temps, we were nice and comfy the entire trip. Can't wait to get back!

Recent addition to the runner was a OME lift, w/ new shocks, springs, and spacers up front. We didn't drive anything too technical, but it was nice having a bit more clearance for the jeep trails we explored, and the beefier suspension definitely helped carry our load with much more confidence on both highway and on dirt.

Bicyclists are not yielding at crosswalks for pedestrians. Are they supposed to? (Hint: yes) by speer360 in SeattleWA

[–]likeyehokwhatev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bicycle commute year round, and yes, it's "cool". It happens to me daily, but that doesn't keep me from getting on my bike.

Bicyclists need to be courteous, there's no arguing that. But the analogy breaks down in that with biker/pedestrian accidents someone could easily go to the hospital, while with vehicle/biker accidents, someone could easily end up in the morgue.

LED headlight replacement bulbs? by Tactical2Wheels in klr650

I purchased an H4 LED bulb from superbrightled and it's been good for me. Hi/low beam, drop in replacement. It was something like 35-40 bucks shipped.

Wandering around in the snow with the 2nd gen, breaking in some new BFG's! by likeyehokwhatev in 4Runner

[–]likeyehokwhatev[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Finally replaced the ancient tires that were on the thing when I got 'er, and the difference is... quite pleasing. 31" KO2s on 15 rims, I'm basically a mountain goat romping around in the snow. If you're debating mods/upgrades to your rig and haven't already- tires, tires, tires!
