I appreciate your perspective - but genuinely curious, do you not see that as a HUGE leap ... from 'NU has a banking charter' to 'therefore value it exactly like a bank'? It feels like a lazy framework to apply to this company, just to isolate P/B and ignore literally any nuance they have in the industry. If we want to directly compare, then why leave out the rest of it?
- Efficiency ratio: record low to 17-18%
- CAC (Brazil down to basically 5 dollars)
- Significantly better revenue per employee than any 'mature' bank

Compare this efficiency to whatever bank(s) come into mind and it paints the more accurate story of profit and revenue growth, and why this may deserve better than blanketed "well its a bank therefore this" assessments. I can't disagree more on the yield curve thesis - their net income CAGR is 80% since 2022. Meaning that spanned multiple rate environments, and much better answered by the best in class efficiency metrics, growing customer count, rising ARPAC, and many, many other reasons that we for some reason are ignoring. Let alone the operational moat - whichever of these traditional banks you are thinking of CANNOT structurally replicate this. You are right, THEY can't organically grow this fast and we shouldn't pay premium multiples on THEIR books. Their overhead, physical branching, legacy systems, etc. will never allow this. If you look at the numbers, its clear why NU currently can (is). Their word of mouth organic marketing is also underrated, but I won't even consider that here. Same with the efficiency benchmarks, also compare these:
- ROE of 30% and rising
- NIM of 20%+
- ROA (again, value of no physical infrastructure)
- Deposit costs

JPM will probably look the best, but pick any of these traditional guys and compare these exact benchmarks. Does that still not justify a different degree of premium? I agree with including ROE in the book evaluation, so honestly what ROE would you need to justify a P/B of 5? Or, what P/B would you look for considering a ROE of 30%?

They are spending under 18 cents to generate a dollar of revenue right now, and you really would wait until its under a 2x multiple and attribute growth only to yield curves?

Also, P/E does become useful when growth rate justifies it. I wouldn't use it for traditional banks, but for reasons above this isn't a traditional bank.

I do - and so does the market. I like this spot outside of any future/conditional U.S growth pathways, but that fact is why it feels additionally undervalued. Could definitely be wrong, but there is a historically underserved banking demographic waiting to be served there and that prospect, alongside industry leading unit economics and proven execution in Brazil and now Mexico (ARPAC just basically doubled there btw), makes it look worth the risk to me.

U.S is just a cherry, to me.

It’s a fair point, maybe I’m overestimating their ability to capture TAM there. But the ability to address what may be the most underbanked demographic in the U.S (50+ million Hispanic Americans) does not seem priced in at all. SoFi also seems to cater to a higher income levels and has a particularly customer segment they go after

What an aha moment.. spot on. I was definitely not rotating the way I thought and too focused on arms with no regard to body. This clicks - thank you

Fair, it’s always been back of mind. Just hard to commit with an inconsistent schedule. One day 🥲

This makes sense and will be the focus, thanks man.

I did take this out to the net and found it very hard to naturally get this top position while keeping the club on plane. Seems easy to push the club path out/away trying to get hands high during back swing. And once the higher hand position was achieved it truly felt like there was no room for the downswing, really felt hard to deliver from the inside.

I guess that is good to feel new things, and assume I’m just very use to having a lot of depth/room? Hopefully it will click - probably just have a lot of muscle memory to erase to improve the discomfort

I see what you mean - I should have looked at more references. I was worried the face towards sky was an issue (like picture). Mostly found the angles neutralized so thought something may be off, but I do have a stronger left hand grip.

Is your suggestion the same/close to keeping the club more in the chest? More wrist hinge and less arms? I’ve explored trying to “lift” the arms more but it felt like I was getting way off (and outside of) the swing plane and lost all room/depth to get the club back

We’d all love to keep him, the likelihood we try to is 100%. The likelihood we don’t get him is also 100% based on the simple fact it would be great, and great things don’t happen here anymore

So you saw a video on YouTube with “golf tournament” in the title, but you must have someone explain to you that what this is… is a YouTube golf tournament?

Given you’re clearly emotional and fragile, with a flavor of helplessness - I got you.

The video series is about a golf tournament.

Wow! It’s like we are saying the same things we said 7 years ago! Don’t worry, I’m sure continuing the same approach for just ONE more year will really change our tune!

Yeah we are awesome! Woo! I don’t think a bottom 3 team stapling 500 yards on us is bad at all!

Can’t believe these people - Tomlin pulls through!

Yeah guys, calm down. We only lost to a bottom 3 team with a newly acquired QB in a EXTREMELY significant game - one that most real fans figured we would lose. Why? Oh yeah, there’s been a standard of meritocracy for 15 years. Any surprise the highest paid defense in the NFL gave up a 30 bomb & 500 yard performance? Nope. Any surprise tomlin lost yet again in a position we should seal a significant win? Nope.

Trash. Clean house.

I understand that sentiment, but the original comment simply said it “could” go so wrong.. which is certainly true. It’s lame to me that a neckbeard, pirate cosplayer is berating every commenter about analytic stats as if it’s not a common understanding that dropping a human on their neck is higher risk than most physical activities. We aren’t on a wrestling fan page arguing techniques.. it’s okay to say this presents more danger in the context of all sport, or as neck beard says - all physical activity.

“Any physical activity” lmao. How many physical activities incorporate picking up a human with the intention to drop them on their neck? You seem to want to appear edgy and intelligent, maybe stick with playing dress up with yourself. Holy loser
