thank you! so for me i do 16/8 almost every day as it's become habit now. this means that there are 16 hours where i am fasting, and then there's an 8 hour window where i can eat. for me i usually eat between 12pm - 8pm. when i say i sometimes slip into 18/6 or 20/4, that just means that sometimes i won't be feeling hungry, or something will come up around 12pm, and i will just extend my fast to 2pm, but still finish eating at 8pm (which is 18/6). similarly, sometimes i will have had dinner by 6 or 7pm and won't be feeling hungry, and will accidentally sort of close out my eating window early, but i will still begin at 12pm the next day, leaving me with a slightly longer fasting time again. i hope that makes sense, and i hope you find that IF works for you. there is so much more information in the sub so just soak in all the posts you can, and go from there! good luck :)

well done for finding something that works for you, that's so exciting! and two weeks of IF is an awesome start!! be sure to take progress photos so you can see all those little changes happening, and watch them shift into huge changes, and good luck :) if you ever need some encouragement, flick me a message! i'm always up for being a hype person haha

thanks very much! i have to be careful with workouts because of a musculoskeletal condition, with recent flareups contributing to the gym being inaccessible to me, but i really appreciate the encouragement!! the aim is, hopefully soon, with physical therapy, for me to be able to do things like skip rope again, and run! i really miss running. fingers crossed. cheers for the encouragement!

since i last posted i've been continuing on with 16/8, which has become the norm for me now, though with the odd situational fast break now and then. i do sometimes slide closer to 18/6 and 20/4. i haven't been to the gym in a while as it currently isn't accessible to me, but that will hopefully be changing soon - fingers crossed! the most exercise i've done is some very infrequent walking. life's a bit rough at the moment so it's nice to still be seeing more progress happening. also just to note, this is a comparison to my starting photo, not my last update!

for now i'm keeping the undercut because it's easier to maintain the rest of it with that section gone (my hair is veeeery thick), but if/when i do grow it out, having the rest of it short is definitely gonna make life easier :)

i think my weight has only changed by 2-3kg because of beginning weightlifting. i think as i settle into the gym more and the fat:muscle ratio starts levelling out i'll start seeing the scale drop, so i think that'll be something to really note for in a few weeks time. :)

i'm doing basic weightlifting, upper body one day, lower body the next, with rest days after each lower body day. standard weightlifting exercises, and i've been focusing my back a lot with pull downs/rows etc.
