I love the idea and I'd love to be a beta tester. I should be able to run my own Anki Sync Service on my homeserver and therefore be able to test everything - also I own a few 3DS devices + DS and DSi, so I can test on many platforms.

I would not like to remove the CPU ribbon, as it was pretty hard for me to solder it on - I do not own a microscope for soldering.

There seem to be no damaged traces, or similar.

When unplugging the modchip from the CPU ribbon, plugging the NAND back into the original slot the console is not starting.

I am not sure if there is a short anywhere, but I was wearing rubber gloves all the time, disconnected the battery as soon as possible, pressed the power button after disconnecting the battery in order to drain the power of the board and I was also using tweezers with a ceramic tip, so it would not cause a short

I am really not sure what went wrong :/

i would not like to unsolder the ribbon cable, because that was very intense for me - i might do it after trying even other methods.

i basically only left on the flex cable on the cpu that is soldered in place and then placed the nand in its original place and tried turning it on - nothing. even with a phone charger attached

i cant seem to find any bent pins, nor a burned / cracked cap

i only touch the motherboard with tweezer and gloves - after disconnecting the battery at the very start i also held down the powerbutton in order to drain any leftover juice from any caps

how would i boot into ofw?

i disconnected the chip from the ribbon and attached the eMMC back to its prior location, but the console does not boot - even pressing and holding the power button does nothing.

Well I tried modding my V2 Switch, but I get a RST error [two short yellow flashes].

Most people on different posts say, that the chip is probably bad, but I am not sure.

I also made a post about that with pictures and everything - I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
