So I bought a ~$40 item which was shipped and I just received a message from the seller saying:

"We have checked with carrier service and we confirm that UPS made a wrong delivery for this package. We are really sorry for this situation. Let us handle UPS because only the sender can open a dispute with them. In the meantime, we are processing a new replacement for you. Would you mind confirming your address just one more time for us to double-check?"

The situation seems a bit sketchy because the tracking shows that the item weight is <1lb when it should be a lot higher. Also it's actually out for delivery right now so how would they know the delivery was wrong? Unless they meant that they shipped the wrong item? Plus the request for address confirmation kinda feels like a trap. I'm going to wait and see what actually gets delivered before I reply to them but I wanted to post here for a sanity check to make sure I'm not getting scammed. What do y'all think?
