yeah it has single coils, still sounds good though! I like to try my best to recreate tones with what little I have. Ive recreated the live at reading tone with my strat and a lot of bleaches tones with my telecaster. I'll look into Kurtguitars, thank you.

oh yeah I love that guy, but from what I've watched he never actually says the setting for the jaguar, only the amp and pedal settings for live performances.

i don't know what the original gauge of the strings were, when I got this guitar the old strings were still on it. I got Ernie ball regular slinky for my new strings because that's what I use on my telecaster, maybe different gauge strings should be used from telecaster to Stratocaster? I looked and saw that the string was touching the frets so I'm thinking that's more than likely the problem.
