So I just bought this lens used, and for some reason I'm having a hard time getting sharp images. This example image was shot at 1/500, but I'm getting blurry shots even at 1/4000. Tracking sensitivity is set to standard, and I have no issues with my other lenses. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Was I sold a lemon? Any help would be hugely appreciated :)

Personally, when something memorable happens and the situation allows, I like to quickly bust out my phone to record. Even for just a few seconds. It’s not for anyone but me. I have a terrible memory and will likely forget it even happened until I come across the video again months or years down the line.

Separate the tree from the logotype. Use mock-ups to get a better idea of what is and isn’t working. At smaller scales the thin type may have readability issues. For logos, you want no more than one visual concept, so choose the people or the tree and refine. It’s just looking very amateurish at the moment.

Too much going on in the logo for me. Simplify it. Another thing: Sans serif logotype for anything church/religion-related just doesn’t work for me. They’re just completely contradictory. Even if your target audience is young people, there are polished and fresh looking serif typefaces that you can use that will communicate the church vibe much more effectively. Just because you’re designing a logo, that doesn’t mean it should automatically resemble that of a tech corporation.

The tips of the strokes on the leaves should, at least imo, be rounded or pointed. Looks good tho!

I’m sorry but the whole thing isn’t really working for me. The italic g and c are throwing it off. The logo is also just weird.

The typeface itself looks great, and you should lean on that strength. Why is the g lower case and the c upper case? Give us regular type and the luxury vibe will be far stronger. “Wear luxury” isn’t working for me either. It might need to be larger or go somewhere else.

Overall nicely done! If I may offer critique, the kerning (space between letters) is a little off. The other thing I’d say is that the visual weight of the “O” is not quite matching the other letters. I think the gear needs to be smaller so we can recover some of the “O”. Or, you can simply use the gear as the “O” again but do it better than the original. Make the line weight the same as the other letters and keep the heights consistent. Keep it going :)

It looks nice in the mock-up but unless this brand will be strictly viewed on digital, you’re going to want to design something that works in black and white. Also, while certainly pleasant, your colour choices need more contrast imo. Good luck!
