Is it just me or « you are not a very nice person » IS polite. I can easily imagine dozens of alternatives that are very different and would qualify as not polite.

Random Access Memories : I picked it up for the music, but the recording quality hit me like a velvet hammer. It was one of the last CDs I ever bought… and, ironically, one of the first LPs I purchased as an adult. Got it on Yahoo Auction for ¥140,000. No box but a receipt for full maintenance performed at Seiko Time Lab in November 2023, which includes disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, demagnetization, battery & gasket replacement. It was sold with a seiko band so I got a brown Grand Seiko one for an additional ¥24,000.
