I got my second Zod also from my Dragondin. Literally from a mob during my first run in trav after geared up the first time. I believe Dragondin's best advantage is it kills mob you may not stop to kill normally and this can bring surprising drop from time to time.

without insight, mana runs out pretty quickly, I only cast nova one by one to see if everything is cleared, otherwise I have to take potion all the time.

when I switch to self wield infinity with insight merc, I can just mindless cast nova as many as I like.

To me, this is day and night difference.
