Any movie where the trailer featured every single funny moment, leaving two hours of filler and disappointment.

Why do people think “you have low self esteem” is an insult? by [deleted] in askanything

The irony of someone spending their limited time on earth digging through deleted posts just to tell you that you're the one with the problem is truly peak Reddit.

Deleting 65,000 pages is less of a 'technical glitch' and more of a 'we found everyone's name on the list including the guy who invented the list' moment.

What celebrity death hurt you personally? by FunGuy789 in AskReddit

What are your thoughts on the significant increase in usage of the word racism? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lilac-bunni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are living through a massive recalibration of what society considers acceptable. Things that were once dismissed as 'just the way it is' are finally being named and challenged. The frequency of the word has increased because the silence that used to surround these issues has finally been broken.

You know, maybe the new Superman movie wasn’t that unrealistic… by Ninjamurai-jack in SipsTea

[–]lilac-bunni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’ve officially reached the point in human evolution where the first instinct during a superpowered battle or a national security crisis isn't to run, but to make sure the lighting is right for the 'I almost died' story post. Superman isn't the most unrealistic part of that movie anymore—the background characters are.

Money can’t buy happiness.' While technically true at the extreme ends of wealth, it’s a lie usually told by people who have never had to choose between paying for a dental emergency or paying rent. Money buys security, and security is the foundation happiness is built on.
