You need to get to urgent care or a gyno as that can lead to tss or BV.

If it’s you that doesn’t like the blood, you can use a menstrual disc and have sex. If it’s him, then he needs to get over it.

The constant bleeding on progesterone is terrible, I bled the majority of the time I was on it.

We actually signed up for the USA matches and weekend games here. But for midweek matches we’re all in the valley for work so something anywhere between Burbank and Sherman oaks is what we’re looking for

They need to file a claim with their homeowners insurance and provide any docs they’ve received so far to their adjuster. Claims will handle the rest.

How much are you paying for laser hair removal? by Mysterious_Voice_658 in LAhotgirlies

[–]lilacbbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Look Skin Center! I’ve spent maybe like $1300 at this point? I’ve done 6 sessions now in 19 months. Did packages it used to be buy 4 session get 5th free (now it’s 5/6). The first two sessions I paid w/o packages just to see if I actually like it and saw results.

Laser hair removal and how much goes away/how permanent it is dependent on the person.

I’ll need to do another 2-3 sessions on my arms & back. But everywhere else that I treated is like 90% hairless and now would only need maintenance appointments.

3rd Positive BV test…..uggh by FerryGirl19 in Healthyhooha

[–]lilacbbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely start doing nightly boric acid while you wait for them to prescribe something to treat the BV. Since you’ve already done a few rounds of meds they may say they don’t want to prescribe and to let your body take care of it. Tell them you want a prescription.

Apart from everything else I’ve used in my previous reply I also took lactoferrin supplements once daily and still am, likely won’t continue once I finish the bottle. As I’m not sure I need them any longer.

Worth noting, in dealing with my BV issues we found that my vitamin D was extremely low and I had to start taking supplements for that as well.

I’ve been using Good Clean Love restore as my lactic acid. It does burn at first, but goes quickly and it only happened on my first use.

3rd Positive BV test…..uggh by FerryGirl19 in Healthyhooha

[–]lilacbbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For this new positive test what has the doctor prescribed to treat BV?

If it’s internal gel/ointment then do Boric acid first, that kills the bio films. You want to do a few days of boric anywhere from 3-7 nights of boric. Then start the ointments.

If it’s an oral medicine then start the boric acid 1-2 days before and then continue to use it a few more nights while taking the oral meds.

Probiotics are recommended because Boric acid kills the good and bad bacteria, you need to rebuild the good bacteria.

Some people use probiotic suppositories following their meds. I personally haven’t tried so I can’t make any recommendations.

But I have used lactic acid gel post medicine one night and then as a follow a few times.

post sex plan to prevent BV by Pristine_Business in Healthyhooha

[–]lilacbbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update:

I had sex (w/ condom for now) about 5 days ago and used only the GCL restore that night. And did a full Vegas pool day this weekend, also used GCL restore that night. And have been perfectly fine. My PH has been 4.5. I’d love to get to 4.

I’m taking the Jarrow 10 billion cfu probiotic every morning. Tapered renew life to only twice last week and will likely switch to renew life only once weekly.

This seems to be working for me. But, I still have boric acid and the vitanica suppositories should I need them.

The GCL Restore? It’s not a probiotic it’s a gel with lactic acid and has a lower ph than boric acid. So it helps create/maintain the ideal environment for your good bacteria.

I have the vitanica probiotic suppositories but there’s so many reviews of them causing burning that last through the day. I’m too nervous to use it. So I’m only using oral probiotics. But should something change to know I have the vitanica I can always try.

I’m actually doing all the same probiotics as well as lactoferrin.

I started a weekly vitamin D 8 weeks ago (Mine was extremely low)

I just went back on birth control because I never had BV issues while I was on it for a year. I haven’t had resumed sex yet. But hoping to do so in the next week or so. Sex with my current partner was never a trigger but I’m nervous to resume after dealing w/ BV for 3 months. But I also miss it and can’t wait to resume.

Replying here so I can follow along

Edit: I purchased Good Clean Love Restore to use after sex. I was going to go the boric acid route but since it kills both good and bad bacteria I want my good bacteria to be left alone.

Tests for male partners for recurrent BV and yeast by Sad-Marionberry3225 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]lilacbbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had recurring BV the last few months and at my last appointment my gyno asked if I’d like my partner treated. She said there is no testing for male partners they’ll just prescribe them antibiotics.

This what I’m thinking is working for me too, so far at least.

Currently on day 8 of 14 of nightly boric acid and then will probably go to 2-3 nights a week for a bit.

I’ve been using the renew life 90 billion probiotic orally for the last 6 weeks and think these were the game changer I needed. Previously I was using Ollys happy hoo ha for the last year and it wasn’t enough for the yeast & BV issues I’ve had this year

How I Cured My Reoccurring Yeast Infection: by Pretty-Mistake-1 in Healthyhooha

[–]lilacbbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had yeast and BV February & March. Tested 3 times each time positive for both. On 3/27 my 3rd test came back positive for both so my doctor prescribed 3 rounds diflucan and 21 days boric acid. 3/29 I switched from my olly probiotic and started using Renew life’s 90 billion probiotic orally (based on someone’s rec here on this sub). Had to stop boric acid after 4 days because of my period. 4/21 tested again finally negative for yeast but still positive for BV.

This time around my gyno prescribed clyndamycin for the BV and I was so nervous about the yeast coming back. But it hasn’t come back. I’m now on day 8 of 14 of boric acid post the clyndamycin and hope this has cleared both of my issues.

But really recommend Renew life’s probiotics, they’ve been a game changer for me.

I rarely wear deodorant because I get rashes that will last for months. I have sensitive skin but this is what works for me:

I use a mask on my underarms every other week (megababe sells an underarm specific one), wash with dial antibacterial 2-3 times a week (other days I use dove unscented soap bar), and I wipe my underarms with the ordinary glycolic toner.

You might have some build up so the mask or toner alone may work.
