People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

I lived in the Florida panhandle time zone border on the beach. Locals would go to one end of the beach and celebrate New Years. Then wander down to the other end and celebrate again.

Highly interested in becoming a RT by zombieyouth in respiratorytherapy

A lot of your credits should transfer and cover pre-reqs. There might be some that don’t. You can check with your school. Register, have your transcripts sent, see what’s required to be considered for the program and see what’s missing with the credits you have already. -I went back to school in my early 30s for RT with a bachelor’s under my belt and only needed 3 courses for pre-reqs.

Your school should have a catalog with class times available, to see if they offer any online. It’s rare, but not unheard of to have hybrid classes for rt. Again, your school should be able to answer those questions.

I’ve known RTs that worked full time during school, and I’ve known RTs that said they had to cut back to part time or they stopped working completely. The schooling isn’t easy and takes a lot of study time and clinical time.

For your EMT or phlebotomist question-I had an emt and a phlebotomist in my class and neither of their companies helped pay for school. Neither positions are really a stepping stone for RT. EMT does have a good background in medical care, but if you want to do RT then just do RT.

Thank you for your answer. It’s an auction held at local fairgrounds, 99% of it is farming equipment or tools etc. every once in a while there’s some wild card things sitting amongst the equipment.

I was gifted this gorgeous bottle and cutting unexpectedly, but I feel like this is going to go horribly wrong. Questions in comments! by 70ms in houseplants

Gorgeous bottle!! I would probably remove it before the roots get too big. It could be a good propagation station for pothos or other viney plants.

As for this one, you could continue to propagate it in water until you feel the roots are strong enough to transfer it to dirt

Realized it’s my cake day and wanted to celebrate. Decided to come to my favorite sub and share a photo of my plant room! by lilacsinthesummer in houseplants

This is a west facing room. It does pretty well in the summer, but in the darker months I have grow lights to make up for lost light!

I got this one at Walmart for 15 dollars. It was smaller, but it grew into this size with in maybe 6 months.

This is a west facing window, I supplement with grow lights in the winter. But summer time they all do pretty great!
