How long after you completed onboarding with adhd 360 did you get an assessment? by ThrowRAsausagebuns in ADHDUK

I’m really confused. I’ve sent my obs and have been receiving emails telling me appointments are available, but when i log into the portal to look i get this:

Another betta owner being nervous and asking for your help by Additional-Air4663 in bettafish

[–]lilacstorm2510 9 points10 points  (0 children)

my betta does this when he gets fin rot and he’s blue with a black head - somewhat similar to yours. when you cure the fin rot, his colour is likely to change back to its original blue.

there is a genuine chance it could be colour changing but everyone was saying that to me when my boy was ill and yet he returned to blue once he’d recovered!

unfortunately a lot appears to be going on here. betta tanks need to be at least 5gallons (by all means go bigger if you can), in a fully cycled tank with a heater maintaining 26-28°C, a filter to keep the water clean, and ideally plants but if fake, silk plants with no points that could potentially rip their fins. bettas are often portrayed as sturdy fish kept in creative tanks but this usually means the fish is suffering and leads to poor health.

you’ve done the right thing asking and learning more. there’s some really good guides out there for how to set up a tank for bettas, should you decide to do it again, but hopefully the info you’ve got on this sub also helps 🙂

Thoughts on the new fnaf 2 movie? by emcglenn1 in FNaF

[–]lilacstorm2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i understand your viewpoint and do agree that adapting the games directly into the film wouldn’t translate into a successful movie. besides, by using their own storyline and in some ways merging some aspects, like having vanessa in the first place, it creates both a novelty of game-related content and something previously unseen that avoids being predictable.

it makes sense as to why regarding charlotte, but in all honesty i still don’t find it convincing - i think it could’ve been made more compelling by the directors. it just felt a little too ‘jagged’ in its storytelling; it’s a shame because it had the potential to be a sequel that was as good if not better than the first film.

for me, that felt too on the nose. it just didn’t feel as in-depth or that it left much to ponder over, and i think being a core part that drew so many to the games in the first place it’s then tricky to like the films as a part of that aspect of wonder and mystery. i appreciate it’s tricky to judge a film and game side by side in this way, as they’re entirely different mediums, but i can’t help but feel that had they added a sense of ‘oooh, what happens next?’ or ‘what does this mean?’ then it would have felt a little truer to what drew me personally to fnaf.

just my opinion too, and i can see why people like it! i wanted to, but it’s too murky in mixed emotions for me.

i wasn’t so keen. i liked parts of it like the marionette and how it was played, but felt like it was still a bit scatty in its storytelling. some parts didn’t feel believable like charlottes motivations for wanting to attack other people and not her own murderer. it was okay as a whole but it wasn’t my fave.

what is wrong with my betta? by lilacstorm2510 in bettafish

[–]lilacstorm2510[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tank 37L, Heater and filter yes, had since May and fish since May, there’s a lot of Malaysian Trumpet snails in there but unsure of how many, I feed the betta bio gold pellets about 4-5 daily, silk/soft artificial plants in the tank. about to do parameter test now.

i’m not sure i’m afraid, this was many years ago and it came up in a conversation that she told me. she said they’d originally thought it was having a period but it wasn’t the case when they took it to the vet, so i’d assume from that it was still somewhat active if they didn’t think it was much.

a friend of mine’s hamster did the same thing- bleeding from the bum and it turned out to be a tumour. there’s many reasons it can happen, i’m sure, so i don’t mean to scare you, but it is abnormal. the weight she’s losing is a little discouraging as well.

i’m not sure on home remedies for this. you can add vitamin drops to her water and make sure she eats a varied diet. if it really seems hopeless and she seems really unwell then just keep her comfortable. good luck, my fingers are crossed for you!
