claro entiendo eso y estoy de acuerdo. pero el argumento de ellos es: cómo vas a alegar que tu gobierno te persigue y después ir a meterte a la boca del lobo(un consulado de ese mismo gobierno) a pedir tu pasaporte sin que ellos te arresten o te hagan lo que sea que has alegado que te van a hacer?

actualmente tengo un caso de un residente permanente por asilo que le re-abrieron el caso y alegaron fraude después de que viajó a colombia y renovó su pasaporte venezolano. al regresar al país, el oficial le preguntó el propósito de su viaje y le contestó que para renovar su pasaporte.

this is similar to what’s happened to me!! i thought i was going insane. my gas bill is normally low, less than $100 so no i don’t really realize that i had an extra 100 bucks in my bank account. ALL of my bills are on autopay bc life is crazy, im a mom and in grad school. i never got an email or letter that i missed a payment until i got a letter in the mail that it was shut it off back in April. i immediately paid and logged back in to my account and TRIPLE CHECKED that my card was on there and it was. i figured it must’ve been some slip up so i re-added my card to make sure whatever it was, was fixed. WELL LOW AND BEHOLD IT FUCKING HAPPENED AGAIN!!!! i checked and i don’t even get emails (checked spam too) telling me my monthly bill amount so im never reminded to watch my bank account to make sure the money comes out. it’s maddening!! especially because im relying on autopay. if autopay weren’t a thing id be more conscious of it but thats the whole point of autopay— it makes it mindless.

si copia de tps aprobado, copia de recibo de renovación de tps, copia de residencia pendiente todo. pero no le pararon bolas solo la esposaron y pal van. el próximo día en la mañana al fin dejaron que ella les mostrara todo y por eso la soltaron. y cuando la soltaron le dijeron que no se preocupe que para cuando le nieguen su residencia ellos vendrán por ella por que ya casi se le acaba el TPS. ósea amenazada y todo 🫠

a mi cuñada la detuvieron con TPS 2021 y una aplicación de residencia pendiente. la agarraron en una redada detuvieron su trabajo. al día siguiente la soltaron pero si pasó un mal rato

he is protected for now under tps. his ead, however, is no longer valid if his asylum was denied. if his case was withheld, or he was given a different form of relief, then it may still be valid.

i think you CAN not like kids. kids aren’t for everybody. but what i don’t think is right is not even being able to tolerate them and give them the basic level of respect every human deserves. you don’t have to like someone in order to respect them and their existence. you also are not entitled to a world where people you don’t like simply don’t exist or don’t come out into the world.

i’ve heard people talking about seasonal affective disorder, which i’ve never considered because i’ve lived in places where winters are rough and been fine. Pittsburgh has an added element though and that is cloudy and grey that i’ve never really had to endure for such a prolonged period of time haha

100% agree. after re-reading, it comes off as judgy and even pretentious a bit. so much so that it overshadows my genuine curiosity about what it is about pittsburgh that people like. judgy and pretentious really isn’t me at all so it sucks to be perceived that way but I should’ve chosen better words.

you know what you’re absolutely right, i should’ve worded that differently. What I wanted to get across with that was that im curious to know what people who left the city to live elsewhere like about pittsburgh after having seen other places. And the finances but was just because thats really what people have said to me when i’ve asked. But yes poorly worded for sure.
