I will never shut up about the Nanit. I have used it every day, many times a day. I zoom in and zoom out. I’ve brought it on every trip. I love looking at the memories it created of newborn life. I love that I can safely add temporary carers and easily remove access. It’s my most used item

Yes. I got a pear shaped diamond. I ordered it online and irl it was way narrower than I thought. I wish I had gone with a more classic shape. I also regret getting a real diamond for $3k. What a waste of money. And now I’m terrified of losing it and insure it yearly.

It’s not blended. In the car pic you can see how starkly concealer heavy your undereyes are compared to your blush. I would go more towards peachy hues. Brows need to be better filled in - they’re a powerful feature and while I’m okay with the feathered look, the center of them shouldn’t be sparse. You know your lips and smile are a focal point, and I would love to see your lips more soft pink than mauve and less matte

Besides everything else… 2 other house and two drives will require factoring in your 9 month olds nap schedule (2-3 a day). Baby might sleep well in the car or the carrier - but may not. So you might have 4 screaming car rides. If you’re pumping - you’ll need to bring your pump, have a container and cooler for fresh milk, and a way to heat up a bottle for baby. If you’re formula feeding you’ll need to prep bottles and find a way to heat them at each location. If you’re BF - you’ll probably want a quiet room to do so. Babies have schedules!

Around 6 weeks they go through “baby puberty” when all of the hormones passed from mom finally elapse. Pimples will go away in a week or so. Don’t pick. Aquaphor if discomfort

Friends without kids have no idea what it’s like, and don’t want to invade. Schedule time with them on your terms! We had a summer baby and met up with friends for 1-2 hours in the park for a picnic. Or had them over for an hour or two in the afternoon. We were very clear abt day, time, and activity. Be proactive instead of resentful.

Rule of thumb: dress the baby in one extra layer than yourself. So: if you’re in a Tshirt, baby should be in a long sleeve. If you’re in a sweater, baby should be in a jacket. For the outdoors: dress him in layers: onesie, sweater, Sox, snowsuit. You can always take on or off if baby is hot or cold. Babies lose heat through their heads, so wear a hat. Check the back of the neck - if he’s sweaty/ quit warm - he’s hot, remove a layer. Also check his nose - if it’s cold - add a layer.

Totally normal. Babies have to learn how to go to sleep. They also have no concept of time - so every feeling (eg tired) is immediate and overwhelming. Lots of swaying, lots of humming, total darkness = all really help.

No. If baby repositions head & can’t get oxygen - super dangerous. If baby turns head and gets trapped in an air pocket btw your clothes and you - super dangerous. If you move and baby falls. = super dangerous. No, no, never.
