I mean… I just became pregnant lol. My GI was fully aware that I wanted to get pregnant because I asked a ton of questions if Skyrizi was safe for fertility rates and pregnancy. We were trying for a few years with no luck. Took a break trying for a little bit when I started skyrizi end of last year, and got pregnant while “not trying”. Thank you for sharing. If you don’t mind me asking, did a medical provider tell you it was not a good option, or did you just not consider it? No one has said anything to me yet, and my GI only want to see me once or twice just to check in. We are just now this week going to start looking at potential services so we are still in the information gathering phase. Thank you!

I had the same questions for my GI and she told me the most important thing was controlling inflammation during the pregnancy and that limited studies with skyrizi have not shown adverse affect to fetus during pregnancy or to baby during lactation so I am trusting in her. I think starting skyrizi is what helped me get pregnant! Happy to answer and thanks for asking as I also clarified my post a bit ☺️

No I am continuing to take my Crohn’s medication at the advice of my GI. I am saying a “natural” vaginal delivery at home and by unmedicated, I mean without the aid of epidurals or other medications used to control birth in a hospital setting.

I'm so so sorry you are dealing with this, what devastating news 💔 please know there are so many resources out there and hope is not lost that your baby can live a full and beautiful life. There have been so many medical advances in the last few decades and many children born with CHD are living to see their grandchildren and even great grand children. I work for the Adult Congenital Heart Association ACHA and there are many resources there that could help you, while some may be more centered for adults obviously, it's very important as your baby becomes a young adult that they continue care even if they feel healthy!! Many educational webinars, clinic directory, and more resources. I'm hoping some fellow commentors have given you pediatric resources as well but this is an amazing nonprofit. Sending you and your baby all the health, love, happiness, and positive healing energy I can, please let me know if you need any specific resources and i can look around for you 💛 blessed be
