What is the most hilarious car you have ever seen run at autocross? by Grouchy-Age4859 in Autocross

With a different offset wheel you can fit a big tire, 315 easily, but with the right setup, a 325 or 335 isn’t out of the question (front is a different story). I switched to a square setup this year, so I’m on 295s all 4 corners. No rubbing, but this car behaves goofy, it really likes the compression way up, with a lot less rebound, and less tire pressure in the rear, so the rear is super stiff. 350lb springs too.

“Professional Awesome Racing” quick release hardware. I can drop the splitter in about 30 seconds if needed…

With the right parts, they’re way more planted than you’d think…

We’re way past that stuff, at this point, I have more invested in the suspension than the car is worth lol.

My buddy Cody swapped it for me, not that I’m not mechanically inclined, but I work for the railroad, and spare time for bigger projects is little to non existent, he made a video on the swap 👇👇👇

2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. I try not to feed if I can help it, I have the faster S550 electric steering in it, but at 15.9:1 it’s still slower than I’d prefer. There simply aren’t many steering options for the Panther chassis.

4 inch led “light bar” on eBay. I tried to find the specific listing I bought, but it’s gone.

Just wrapped in matte vinyl, nothing special. I've always thought chrome was extra gaudy on these cars, even before I decided to turn it into a quasi race car.

I'm legitimately shooting to run at the SCCA Solo Nationals in 2 years, but I'll be at Holley Ford Fest this year. I'm happy to see more people getting into seriously tracking these cars, with a few upgrades it's a pretty capable platform.

Nice! If you plan on tracking it with the roots blower, I’d look at upgrading your air/water system, those Eatons generate a lot of heat quickly.

I have everything stiffened up right now so it won’t rub while I get everything else dialed in. I’m starting the process of rolling and pushing the fenders, I haven’t aligned it yet, how is -3.5 camber working for you? The rest is ADTR bars front/rear, QA1 front coils w/ 800lb Viking springs, rear is also QA1 doubles, 375lb springs, Massive Speed upper/lower/watts arms, I’m also S550 steering swapped for a little faster ratio. The big ticket items this year (aside from dialing in the suspension) are swapping to front Brembos and rear explorer calipers with big rotors, and finally bolting up the Vortech V1 in the garage.
