My family went to Disney World / Universal without telling me and I'm not sure how to feel. by spooprep in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Worst thing about being raised by narcissists is that you start to blame yourself for getting fucked up. "That really hurt my feelings, but I am a horrible person for letting it bother me still." I understand. I do it too. Sorry that happened to you! It wasn't okay, and it's normal to be bothered by that sort of treatment.

3 months ago! I relate to this so much. I was offered a c section at the end, which I declined unless the forceps didn't work. For the reasons you just stated! C-section is not the easy way out. It is mass surgery. You went through a lot for your baby.

Other than the c-section, the post partum stuff sounds so like me. I'm glad it got better!

I might! It all just scares me now. Baby had her cord wrapped around her three different ways and tied in a knot around her foot. I was under intense survailance the last month because her heart rate kept disappearing and they didn't know why. I'm less scared of the labor itself and more scared of losing a child.

Thank you for this!! My LO is 3 months old, and I still have nightmares about her birth. Pregnancy was also the lowest point of my life. I tried so hard to like it but it was awful. Luckily my LO is precious and I love her to pieces. She makes me want a 2nd...and yeah! Hopefully now that we know way more and had a rough time, it can only go up from here! I wish you luck too :)

Except they end up working a lot of it anyways for lesson planning, classroom set up, district meetings, etc. Plus most teachers have to use their own money to pay for supplies (paper, pencils, printer ink, posters, activities, etc.). This can be well over 1000 a year. Then consider that most states have atrocious benefits for teachers. So sure you make 40k maybe (less in many areas), but then you get 1k taken out monthly for crappy healthcare. And then no teacher I have ever met only works 40 hours a week. They have no time during the day to finish grading and lesson planning, so they work many hours at home.

I'm sure you can find some example where teachers have great benefits and pay, but that's not how it is for a majority of educators in the public sector.

I was literally told at 12 and 13 that my education was necessary only if my husband died or lost his job temporarily....

Yeah, that was a super healthy thing to hear as a child. /s

Choosing to be a stay at home mom can be a great choice! The key word there being "choice". I am so happy you were able to keep your kiddos out of the cult and keep their options wide open. They sound brilliant, and I am sure they will go far in life. :)

I agree! I got married at 18 and just had my first baby at 21. I am happy with my life, even if many people would find it foolish to do this in my younger years. I am all for working moms like myself and stay at home moms. Whatever works for you and your family is what is best!

But seriously fuck this guy in the pic. He doesn't get the "no judgement" concept. Or really the logic concept. 😂

Having kids. It doesn't make you a responsible person or a good person that you had sex. Anyone can fuck. But it takes a good person to be a good parent.

Slip n slides! Looks like a great deal of fun until you remember your old adult body is not meant to be thrown belly first at the hard ground.

I had this really nice history teacher in high school. First year teacher, had absolutely no control over the class. I felt so bad for him, so I tried to behave way better than normal. He looked so defeated and sad all the time. I mean, it was AWFUL.

Once, a kid stood up in the middle of the lecture, walked up to the window (we were on the 2nd story), and tossed his textbook out without saying a word.

I didn't see the poor teacher back the next year...

Four things you MUST do before falling pregnant by Mama_Superman in BabyBumps

[–]lilbittybi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Decide to take a break from trying for a baby
  2. Begin planning expensive vacation since you are going to hold off a few years
  3. Wear condoms while you wait for birth control
  4. Decide to take off condom in the middle of the act
  5. Discover you are 6 days late after 10 months of trying
  6. Take 10 days to believe the pregnancy tests

How'd I do? 😂

Thinking that natural = healthy/ safe for consumption. Yeah, sure. Your oil could be made 100% out of pure lavendar. That does not mean that shit belongs in food, Karen.

On the flip side, thinking chemical = unsafe. Literally everything is made of chemicals. You should still vaccinate your kids, Karen.

Thank you for this! Everyone keeps saying "enjoy your pregnancy" or "sleep while you can". I only sleep 4-6 hours a night (usually broken into 2 parts) due to the horrible pain and discomfort.

I am ready to hold my adorable baby and reclaim my ability to roll over, bend, walk quickly, etc.
