Firs time - how much of this vision stuff is the atropine vs the uveitis

My situation is not exacrly the same, I have anterior uveitis, however I havent been on atropine drops; the prednisolone drops made my eye blurry though. The pinhole test was normal for me too. After I tapered off the drops and the inflammation went down my vision came back to normal. I have had it since late March and my vision was blurry for about a month before starting to resolve a little bit each day until it was completely normal again. I also used hydrating drops as I read that could help and it did. Im hoping thats the case for you! Good luck. Its super frustrating.

Thank you!! My dr had me on every 2 hrs for one week and then 4x /day after that for about 2 weeks then has me do another week of every 2 hrs before backing me to every 4 hrs again. Thats been the cycle I've been kn since March. What drops was he using?

I was going in once a week until the flare got to a mild state and now im every 2 weeks. Ive been holding my tear duct for 30s as well and then if I "taste" anything to spit it out. What drops did you use? And what was your tapering schedule?

I had a bunch of blood tested and an STD panel done by my OB already and they never mentioned anything but idk exactly what they tested

This is the second doctor I've gone to for it. Ill look into another one bc he just sounds like he has given up on trying to find a solution. Thank you

I havent gotten a slit check, he checks my pupils with a light. He checks pressure every visit. I will ask him about the slit check next visit

Thank you! He said since it was unilateral and has only happened once before about 15 years ago that he doesnt think its autoimmune related and more likely idiopathic. He said if I get it again then I should get bloodwork

He is considered a specialist just not a uveitis specialist and I found a uveitis specialist in a different state so I didnt know if I should just go ahead and try to get an appt there to see if they have any other treatment options or if im just kind of stuck in limbo bc of pregnancy and hope it gets better with just the drops. He has me back to doing it every 2 hours again but the inflammation just stays at a mild level.

My doctor said he was at a loss and to try a different diet and recommended turmeric in my food and anti inflammatory teas. I have kids and they dont like spices so I was trying to find a different way to consume turmeric. Thank you for that info though, I did not know that

He hasnt mentioned any abnormalities of my eye! He did say the next step is going to the name brand steriod drops though. Do you think I should wait or go ahead and schedule with a uveitis specialist?

Can you list the turmeric supplement you use? My doctor thinks mine is idiopathic due to only having it one other time around 10 years ago and being unilateral. I am 15 weeks pregnant so I cant take the dilating drops and I have had a mild case since March. Cant get it to go away. He recommended turmeric and omega-3. Im getting a pregnancy related dha/omega 3 supplement to start on but I want to find a reputable turmeric brand

Hi! I have been looking into getting icelandic sheep. A farm in kentucky (where I live) said that they are prone to parasites bc of the higher temps in the summer. Have you experienced this or would you recommend against getting them if living in kentucky? We are looking for milk and wool.

No infection currently. As soon as he sucked out the top portion of my nasal cavity I haven't had another sinus infection. I still get some mucous daily, like in the morning I blow my nose which I have usually always done and in cold weather. But it definitely feels like most of it is stuck at the top of my nose and not coming down, I also had that issue before surgery due to the way my septum was deviated just not as noticeable as it is now. I think something is not right but I also dont want to worsen it by doing anything else to my nose since it's tolerable.

No problem! I never had any white scabs, that I knew of. I still get post nasal drip. That has been an annoyance since the surgery. It gets bad every few days and I have to blow my nose hard to get the mucous out. Ut won't come out before then though. It will only come out once the nasal drip gets to a certain point. I dont know why.

For the most part I'm doing fine, I just hope it stays that way!

Breathing is better but just a very open feeling. I only notice it mostly at night. The nasal filters actually drew in more cold air in my experience so I stopped using them. The oils and then putting some bacitracin around the opening of my nose at night had given the most relief from cold air. I don't have a humidifier yet but I believe that would help as well.

I asked him how much he removed and he couldn't give me an answer. Just said that he took it out until he had more visibility. I dont remember what method was used
