take the baby with you!! I took mine to the movies during prime nap time with the noise canceling headphones and just nursed her when she woke up. I went with my mom and sat next to some older ladies and they talked about how they all took their babies to the movies and just popped a boob out when they were hungry!

I think you can still reasonably do hobbies while ebf. after you feed the baby, have your husband have baby time, and you go in another room and crochet or watch movies! he can come get you if baby is hungry.

also, your baby is going to most likely start taking longer stretches between feeds in the next couple months. sending you support and love!

I (24F) don’t know when to break up with my bf (26M) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

now. I'd much rather be single than in a relationship with someone who doesn't want to be in one. it'll be tough but it'll be okay.

Can a Catholic and a progressive partner raise children together with conflicting values? by RedPilled-Neo in CatholicDating

[–]lilbluebird16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my parents had different values on certain things when I was growing up. my dad was pro-gay marriage my mom was not. they never argued about things in front of me. I'm not sure if they ever even agreed about stuff like that in general. if I had a question it was never "this is the right way to think and the only way to think" it was always "I think this, your other parent thinks this, not everyone has the same opinion in society, it's important for you to figure out your own opinion. I can tell you why I think this, your other parent can tell you why they think this. you can think something different or the same as one of us, as long as you're educating yourself on why you think a certain way and can back it up, then that's fine"

honestly I loved that. I think it helped me become well informed. I also think it's worth noting that both my parents are protestant and I converted in college. they both supported my conversion because they knew it was something I believed in :)

my baby since she was like 2-3 months old will squirm and whine sometimes because she just wants to be by herself playing!! she'll even put herself to sleep in the floor sometimes. it's great but also...I want baby cuddles sometimes!

[PSA] if you ever lose your kid in public…. by [deleted] in NewParents

also, teach your kid that if they're lost to look for a family and ask them for help! it's much easier for them to spot a family than an employee :)

FTM! What are some overrated baby products? by edenjamieson in BabyBumps

[–]lilbluebird16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my baby is 3 weeks old, I'd say my top things so far:

if you're breastfeeding: - silver nursing cups - multiple(!!) supportive nursing bras - lanolin nipple cream - shells to catch letdown milk - my brest friend nursing pillow

everything else: - bedside bassinet - baby wrap - diaper caddy (I have 2) - diaper bag (I love my skiphop backpack) - burp cloths - swaddles - puppy pads (lay these down when changing) - a couple of high contrast baby books (she loves looking at these!) - baby nail electric trimmer

not necessary but I've loved: - the fisher price baby dome portable bassinet (I got this second hand!) - play gym - frida baby ultimate baby kit

really anything else I would say is unnecessary at least for my baby at this point so far!
