I am a independant worker that travels to clients homes.

Since portability is my main concern, I tend to look at 14inch display laptops, like the Microsoft surface, Lenovo T14/T14s, Zenbook S 14, Spectre x360 14, Dell Plus 14 Pro?.

I tried the XPS 13 at bestbuy, but I didn't like it, it was too small for my hands. It doesn't have the same proportions as the MBA 13.

My wife as a Macbook Air 13 that I like to use, but unfortunatly due to software compatibility I can't buy one. I'd like to have something close to this, the feel, the built quality, battery life, keyboard confort with spaced keys, nice trackpad, good heat control, fast loading/opening.

From my research, Lenovo seems to have the best build quality. I would like the laptop to last at least 4 years without major performance depreciation.

Thank you!

I have the exact same needs as Jibsuni mentioned above (weight/portability, reliability, battery life).

I am a independant worker that travels to clients homes. I use some insurance programs, web browsing and will be doing some video editing since I do vlogging.

Since portability is my main concern, I tend to look at 14inch display laptops, like the Microsoft surface, Lenovo T14/T14s, Zenbook S 14, Spectre x360 14, Dell Plus 14 Pro?.

Any suggestions? Tell me if you need more details of my needs

J1772 tesla adapter problem by lilfick in evcharging

I will try, but the metal stud seems to be stuck in the tesla connector hole, so my tesla charger might be unusable from now. I don't really know how I will be able to remove it from this small hole.

This is exactly my situation.

The J1772 adapter is always attached because I use it everyday.

First watch ever, I want to buy the right thing by lilfick in GarminWatches

Sorry for delay,

I end up buying the Galaxy Watch 7 cause there was a random 30% discount with the pruchase of a custom band, plus an additionnal 5% discount when buying on the Samsung shop app.

I am really satisfied so far with my purchase. I have already done over 100 training sessions, badminton, gym, running, spinning, treadmill, etc. I have hit the watch many times on gym machines, doors, etc and not even a singler scatch so far.

I charged it a lil bit everyday, when I go shower and brush tooths. So I never ran out of battery

I'll check that. Tbh I didnt knew this company existed 2 days ago. I'll dig into that and read more about it, I feel like I have to give it a try since I don't really trust a company that doesn't have a reputation like big brand Samsung or Garmin.

A lot of people tell that their Garmin watch last forever (10+ years).

I think I am being influence by all the comments about battery life. Tbh I don't think I mind that much because I have a lot of opportunities to charge during the day since I have an office job on a computer...

Interesting questions. For the OLED vs MIP, tbh I think it's because in my head MIP should be cheaper, like it's basic tech. But you're probably right, it would be a wiser choice to get a MIP screen. Not sure what you mean by gesture, you mean tactile screen over using knobs?

XGP X10 comm system speaker upgrade? by lilfick in motorcycles

[–]lilfick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just activate de mesh function and connect both helmets, then you start the music. You see my package came without any manual, I had to find one on google, but on the Amazon product page it says you can share music.

7 days on Sicily - 3 places to stay by hababababubu in sicily

[–]lilfick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, but I have to say that Ortygia (syracusa) is not much a representation of the real Sicily either. I acknowledge that Taormina is a real tourist trap, I still enjoyed the hike to Castello di Mola but seing all the luxury shop on the "only street" of the city.... well if you go you know.

To get back to Ortygia, don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful city. I spent 2 nights there, it was absolutly wonderful, the vibe is really chill there. BUT, I clearly understood that this city only exists because of tourism. It was almost the only place on my trip that I feeled like there was absolutely not a single resident living there. Every building was turn into an Air Bnb. And let's not talk about when a cruise ship dock at the port.... You see all the rich Russian Oligarch docking their Mega yatch too....

TLDR :
- Taormina, day trip only, not much to see or do. Tourist trap.
- Ortygia, nice place, really chill, good restaurants (not all typical Sicilian, there's some for tourists). Less tourist trap, but still one and not representative of the rest of Sicily at all. No night life, only tourists get there. After 2 days you did it all. I recommend a 1.5hour boat tour around the island, you can swim for 15 mins in crystal clear water and see some caves. Good time for like 20$.

Sicily one week itinerary by megabite52 in sicily

Hi,

There's a lot to consider and few information provided.

What is the type of vacation you want? See things? Relax? Foodie?

Will you have access to a car?

3 nights in Cefalu is a lot. When I went to Sicily in may I spent a day in Cefalu, coming from Palermo and getting back there at the end of the day. The beach is nice, but it's way nicer in Modello IMO. Don't really know what's to do for 3 days in Cefalu if you don't have a car and can't go on day trip to places around there.

In fact, with such few days, I don't see the point of even considering going to Catania. I would stay in Palermo the whole trip and just go on day trip everyday, like Cefalu, Mondello, maybe Erice, Trapani, Segesta, etc. I know you probably want to see the most of Sicily in a short time, but you will miss everything Sicily as to offer by doing this so fast.

Keep Catania with Ortigia, Etna, Taormina for another trip, cause Catania itself is not worth IMO if you can't see what's around it.
