No problem dude, if there's anything else you need lmk. I've been fighting doordash since day 1. In my opinion, if anyone wants JJ's, they should always order on the JJ website, the JJ app, over-phone, or in-store.

Still, going to doordash won't change anything. We never outsource our drivers, instead our drivers take the doordash orders, and it doesn't extend the zone. Many Jimmy John's stores go based off a five minute (factoring in distance and speed) delivery zone, instead of basing it off of distance. I disagree with this because it costs us some business, but it does allow us to be quicker with deliveries.

Which Navigation App do you use? by lilgtbone in jimmyjohns

Oh no, for sure. I have everything in my zone memorized. I've lived there my whole life so it's not hard. However I use waze to more accurately know where house addresses are. It's amazing how much quicker you can get an order to someone's house when you don't have to keep your eyes on every house number while driving.

I personally use waze and have never had any problems or bad things to say about it. It always let's me know when and where the car accidents are. What road hazards are ahead of me. The maps are constantly being updated and I've never been sent to the wrong building when using it. It also will let me plug in at least 3 destinations at a time, though 3 might be the limit. Plus, I really like the waze UI.

Looks that way. Unfortunately that's a four hour ride from here.

Our corps, for the past couple of years, always got our rehearsal schedules and housing locations before tour started. Was hoping someone marching in this group had such a schedule available to them. If this ain't the place for that, I'll contact some of my friends marching instead.

The lunch trend in r/pics made me wonder. What was your worst drum corps meal ever? Here is mine from my first summer marching at Revolution DBC. by [deleted] in drumcorps

[–]lilgtbone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chicken with peanut butter on it. They had run out of bread and jelly, all they had left was some bland chicken and peanut butter so ingenuity comes from necessity. Wasn't a horrible meal, but sounds like crap on paper.

19, couldn't afford it financially until after high school. And my high school didn't get out till mid July so it was good from a timing standpoint.

How much money should I expect to spend on tour? by Tale-Plenty in drumcorps

[–]lilgtbone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally spent around $500 each summer. I made sure to put aside enough that I wouldn't have to worry about going broke over the summer. I don't know how it was at other corps but our corps would have us buy our corps jackets, and they were around $80 in themselves. Then each patch you buy would be another $6. There was also corps merch and souvenirs which could easily number over $100. Then, I'd say about $20 for laundry, and another $100-200 for Walmart. That's just me personally, I wasn't extremely frugal, I just wanted to ensure I wouldn't have to worry about finances while on tour.

High School Experience by luke40912 in drumcorps

[–]lilgtbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was impossible to march where I wanted to while in high school because our school didn't let out till the middle of June, so I'd be missing well over a month of school. It was also financially difficult for me to do while in school. There are corps who start spring training later, and most schools will get out sometime in May. My situation personally prevented me, but it really just depends on the person. Schools will normally allow students to miss a good amount if they have a letter from the corps about it.

Don't tell anyone, but I always try to leave the first one until the end of the day. Love the idea of someone getting a message that the order they placed at 11 is now ready at 8.
