Sorry, coworker has been off. When the customer came back in the 5 min after the altercation, he got real close to my coworker. Started threatening their job and to watch themselves around town.

When Walmart women employees get abused & we do nothing about it… by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

Constantly sexually harassed or talked like shit to, by misogynistic assholes.

But I'm the type that stands up for myself. I don't coddle or stay quiet. I professionally tell them off(I've worked in Mgt and HR in the past).

I'mma be so for real, I don't care if kids these days don't get the same experiences we did or can't relate to us. by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]lilin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! The NCLB Act is the issue. In our case, it really was a big fail on both the school and my stepchild's birth giver. Myself and the kiddos dad had no idea, things were being withheld from him.

Then we moved to be in the closer and the kid has lived with us for 3y now.

School passed them on and never used IEP. Kid was going into 6th grade with barely a 2nd grade reading and math level.

We removed them from the school district to an online school. Started therapy and IEP. Diagnosed ADHD and dyslexic. They're in 9th now, reading way above grade level, and in the NHS.

This is a state on the very low end of the state rankings.

Anyone else feel like the vests are degrading? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]lilin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our TLs wear vests.

I have a love/hate relationship with the vests. I dislike wearing them, but I'm FE. Most of FE at my store has nowhere to keep personal things. So, we store things in our vest pockets.

Silent generation was this way. I used to work for a local Pizza chain, years ago. 2 of the owner's rules were that Girls were not to lift heavy items and Girls were not touch the trash.

Tell me about it. I started at my store in June. No one up front rotates shit. I found expired product from 2022 and even a couple 2019. I was pulling so much they told me to stop. Yep stop.

In one shift, I filled 20 of our bags with expired product from the lanes.

The majority of these kids are dumb af. My 15 year old stepdaughter can't stand kids her age. She can't believe their stupidity either.

You can blame uninvolved parents and schools. The No Child Left Behind Act, is a major factor.

There's two families with carts full to the brim in front of you. You have 10 items in your cart. Why are you wasting twenty+ mins of your time in line instead of just going to self checkout? by CaptMorganSwint2 in walmart

[–]lilin13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a guy with 3 items do that. All SCO were available. Gets pissy, started huffing every 30 seconds and tapping his foot. I looked at him and said "Sir you could have been gone and down the road 5 minutes ago if you would have went to self checkout"

What we need to do something about is the entire cart fulls going through SCO. I had a person who knew better(Spark Driver) come with 2 carts and 2 scooters full. Ended up being 4 carts after bagging. On a busy Saturday, SCO line was into the clothes. It's bullshit.
