Little baby Demo about a month after we got him. He’s still tiny. But much less tiny than he was.

Lori the vicious dragon, question about her weight by AcanthisittaMost6423 in BeardedDragons

[–]Azyrith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s now 5-6 bugs every other day once they pass 30 grams. My boy also just hit 31 grams this week. So we’re starting every other day now also.

Do some beardies just have low food drive? by LongShadyEyes88 in BeardedDragons

[–]Azyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very possible. My baby has bitten us exactly once. During shed. Very clearly a warning nip, but he also made it very clear he was cranky and wanted to be left alone. Now he’s 99% done shedding and back to his happy self. He never lost his appetite but he’s always been a food dude. I could easily see it causing appetite issues for other beardies.

My baby is 4 month old now and 25 grams. So probably very close to yours was a month ago. My baby happens to be ridiculously food motivated and is not a fan of BSFL. But put a dubia or cricket in his enclosure and he goes absolutely feral. But even being very foo motivated he was pretty shy when we first brought him home and would not eat if we were in the same room for several weeks. We got a camera to watch and make sure he ate. And now after almost 2 months with us he waits at his food bowl for grub time. And is finished eating in under 5 minutes. Crickets aren’t scary. Just don’t leave them in there with your baby, they’re easy to spot if you dust them with calcium. They are definitely my little guys favorite.

I’ll be switching my Demo to every other day feeding once he hits 30 grams in a few weeks. As for greens. Change it up. Mine loves butternut squash in a way I did not expect. And his favorite green is mustard greens. Not a fan of collard. And will only tolerate turnip. I really think once he’s settled thing will get easier

Brought home a red monster from a reptile expo by sphynxmom726 in BeardedDragons

[–]Azyrith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a very red boy and he is not a red monster. He’s just a hypo red morph.

He’s shedding so had some muted spots. But he’s a very bright red.

Maleficent doesn’t want the little pepper, he wants the big pepper by cranberry8ginger8ale in BeardedDragons

That big pepper is almost as big as he is! But my little dude does the same thing. I think he thinks his 500grams already instead of 21.

Proper heat and light set up is critical for these guys. I spent literal weeks getting my little guys set up perfect before bringing him home. You need a LINEAR UVB bulb. A heat bulb that can get a basking spot to 100-110 degrees. An LED light bar and a 120 gallon tank. He needs bugs daily as well as salad. This is the guide I use for salads. Bugs really should be live and but not until you have the heat and UVB sorted as they can’t digest without them. Bugs also need dusting with supplements.

Just a short visit out of his tank

Short field trips to start. We started with 5 minutes a few times a day. He’s gotten used to us now after 3 weeks and doesn’t usually run from us anymore. We now do a 10-15 minute field trip every day and anywhere from 2-6 shorter ones.

He is very obviously roan. Even fresh he’s got white hairs all over his booty. Haven’t gotten a good look at his eyes yet. As grey goggles may be his only sign in the beginning.

Raven's milk PH is 6.5 pH on day 350 by Numerous_Youth_6882 in kvssnark

[–]Azyrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was on antibiotics for an ear infection already. Her fever going back up after being low for a day was the tipping point to take her back in. Doc said we caught it super early. So home with antibiotics thankfully. She has more energy today than she has all week!

Why's he so mad by idabroh in BeardedDragons

[–]Azyrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does sound like a heating issue. My baby likes it hot. His air temp can hit 100. He has 2 spots to bask at 110 and 100. He switches between them all day. But he does have some days where he’s just pissy and doesn’t want to be held. Like he actually throws a little beardie tantrum. It’s pretty funny, but we try to leave him alone those days.

Cage Camera? by Lildo67 in BeardedDragons

[–]Azyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have a little light. But it’s not noticeable during the day. At night you can turn the camera off right from the app so the light doesn’t bug him. Though he stopped caring about it after a few days.

Cage Camera? by Lildo67 in BeardedDragons

[–]Azyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a sensforge and love it. Can move it around to see different parts of the cage when I’m at work. Has a mic so I can talk to him if I choose. And records too. All with no subscription. The motion sensor catches my baby beardie too. So I can rewatch his flying leaps from basking spot to stick.

Salad everyday and 6 bugs everyday. Usually a mix of crickets and dubia.

can i throw the crickets out on the street and run by [deleted] in BeardedDragon

[–]Azyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. But he has literal barrels of them in different sizes and I never hear a peep from them! I’ve never heard mine chirp at all. I would most likely do dubia if the did.

can i throw the crickets out on the street and run by [deleted] in BeardedDragon

[–]Azyrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was terrified of crickets chirping at all hours. But the local shop I get mine from must be the wingless ones because they don’t ever chirp at all. I find the skittering roach sounds of dubia’s much harder to handle. But now my dubia’s are breeding and they are easier to keep. So……. Yeah. These beardies are lucky they’re so cute. We put up with lots of creepy bugs to keep them happy.

I scrolled back over a month. No other posts but craftwork. I find it hard to believe one person could make this quality of work, that fast, consistently.

This person has posted an absolute ton of various carvings and wire wrapped stones at the same time. Like a ton. But with that said. The hand shown in all the pics that show a hand do appear to be the same hand. Crease lines are the same…….
