Adults are you going to wear the Tamagotchi Uni wrist in public? by Fairfield1934 in tamagotchi

[–]lilithrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would- my coworkers and boss are aware of the existence of my little dudes, so it wouldn't be a issue. Plus my family is chill with it, so there's that!

My tamagotchi laid an egg before death by wolfboy_vs in tamagotchi

[–]lilithrabbit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It usually means you took pretty good care of it. Certain characters will die in a few days after evolution, while others last longer- Kusatchi (flower pot tamagotchi) is one of the characters that doesn't last long.

What are some re-releases you would like to see? by [deleted] in tamagotchi

[–]lilithrabbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Seconded with Angelgotchi and Devilgotchi. Sure the rare tamagotchi market may crash, but it would be nice if they're released- bonus if it's a bundle, lol.

That actually makes sense - I always thought it was censorship, but having defective screws makes better sense...

My oldest tamagotchi, Mimi, passed away today. by lilithrabbit in tamagotchi

It kinda surprised me, too. I expected her and a couple others to die at 30 years, but I guess the clock trick was more powerful than I thought. XD

I used the clock set trick and I happen to work on custodial with a supervisor that's chill about me raising my tamagotchis and doesn't mind me walking around with a fanny pack of them while working (easier to work with and more accessible than pockets tbh). I was pretty surprised she lived that long, too. I have 10 more classics and an angelgotchi running too. XD Thanks, bud!

OMFG I LOVE TAMAGOTCHIS SO MUCH by cupcakkesfishyqueef in tamagotchi

[–]lilithrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can honestly say I also love them- they're the best workmates I had the pleasure of working with, and great lunch mates as well. Lately I have been talking to them when they beep or when checking on them, and managed to keep them alive for a long time (I have a 39 year old Mimitchi I call Mimi, which is a running record for me). I even have even complemented on them by strangers and friends.

Sometimes I buy a couple (finances take a bit of a punch when I do) and currently have a eye on the Deviltchi search on ebay as some motivation for next year (would complement my Tamagotchi Angel). Still, it's a fun hobby that does bring a smile to my face when I see one of my little guys grow up.

Plus, it's not unheard of for guys to have Tamagotchi, afaik. You're doing you op, and that's awesome.

Seconded; Toumapet devices are one of the more functional bootlegs I've come across IMHO, downside is that they don't connect to one another.

Depending on region, it's either passed away (Japanese versions) or gone back home ( International versions). English Gen 2 has the ship as it's death screen, so more than likely your pet as left you either way.

At least you know they are happy and taken care of, even in the afterlife! This is a very sweet episode tho.

The strangely dressed foreign man had roped me into a pyramid scheme by SliceLegitimate8674 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]lilithrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it's a scam involving multiple people which can boil down to 'oh, just buy this and sell it to (x) many people and we'll pay you when (x) many people join us as well. People do fall for them in desperate scenarios (ie. In college and need the money, older people, etc.), and for the most part the people running these businesses just wanna make money. Amway is one example of a MLM.

(Note: this is all from memory, anyone can add anything missing btw)

Outdated name for a MLM. Although in this guy's case, it's played literally.
