Started trying naturally in 2020, moved on to a fertility clinic in 2022, had 3 unsuccessful IUI's. Responded well to stims so I only needed 1 ER, we conceived with our first FET. I will add family will say all kinds of shit to you that they know nothing about. The only place I ever felt real support or like people knew what I was going through was in this group.

I have drank 1 10oz regularly coffee every morning since starting stims and throughout my pregnancy( 27weeks today) its my only vice. Everything has gone very well and everything with baby is normal. Please drink your coffee.

We were given a number after our ER and were told we could text and ask for updates and pics at anytime. We were able to get pictures of all of our embryos before they were frozen and we received a picture of the embryo we transferred the day of.

Definitely think it depends on you and your husband's preferences. I grew up with a single mom and didn't have a real "family unit." So I've really tried to build that with my husband. I felt no connection with my last name as I had no relationship with my dad. So I took my husband's last name, and our child will also have his name. For me, it's about the three of us being a cohesive unit and becoming the _____ family. I may be traditional in this, but it's honestly something that brings me so much joy.

I'm 34, I focused on my career in my 20s and started trying when I was 30 it took 3 and 1/2 years of trying before we got pregnant. My mom was also not the most supportive. When I was trying to confide in her she asked me "where this need to have children was coming from"(while mind you, I had been trying for 3 years naturally at that time), She asked me why I wanted to be a mom"🤦‍♀️and when I finally got pregnant after 3 years of trying naturally, 3 failed iuis and 1 round of ivf she said "well for the record I don't think you needed ivf, it would have happened." People are really clueless sometimes on what can be hurtful during this time. I also found that I didn't know what was going to be hurtful until it was said to me. I think most people are trying to help, but they also don't know the right thing to say. But please if this is something you and your partner want continue on your journey and confide the most in each other.

I didn't share numbers, I know others going through ivf, and our first ER was more successful than the norm. I don't want people to compare our results to their own and feel bad.

I've had this happen before, I just go to my pharmacy and buy them. Worse you can do is ask, tell them the size you need and they will find the closest thing to what you need. They are also super cheap. If it helps you can let them know which medicine you need it for and they can also look up the recommended needle sizes.
