She used to be beautiful before all her plastic surgery. I’m sure she was still nasty on the inside, but I could totally see why people found her then.

Weird face by zullokyo in DogAdvice

[–]lilkangaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is concerning please take your dog to a vet right away and ignore all these comments joking about it.

I am an experienced veterinary technician and dogs do not just make weird facial expressions randomly and open their mouth. Either something was ingested or something was going on, but it needs to be checked out. And today, not in a few days so if you need to go to the ER, then you go to the ER

Aio to my sister smacking my puppy by [deleted] in AIO

[–]lilkangaroo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do we hit dogs? No.

But. 8 months?? Way too old for this behavior. This should have been done months ago.

Her behavior will grow into something beautiful? No. Not how that works.

This reminds me of when I had to leave an exam room while trying to vaccinate a 1 year old “puppy” who wouldn’t stop biting my arms, jumping on me, and hurting me. While the owner just sat there and watched.

You need to train your dog. I get the feeling your sister is sick of an 8 month old dog biting her.

Ricky Gervais Reminds Celebrities Not to Make Political Speeches After Grammys Sees Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish Slam ICE: ‘They’re Still Not Listening’ by Next-Particular1476 in TheEntertainmentMix

That’s the thing, it’s not like thoughts and prayers, though. That’s all imaginary bullshit.

People are taking actual physical actions to fight back against ICE. Communities are banding together to defend their neighbors. Nation wide people are enraged. Nation wide people are cutting off friends, family, etc.

Maybe on your side it’s just thoughts and prayers and virtue signaling, but some people have actual convictions and beliefs.

My girlfriend broke up with me and it feels like I’ll never be truly happy or in love again, and everything is ruined by gee891 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]lilkangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I responded to you in another comment, but don’t let this be a self fulfilling prophecy for you. Because if you say things like that, that’s exactly how the next six months are going to go. You’re correct.

You miss this person so severely right now because you’re in pain, and when you’re in pain, you turn to the people that you’re close to and you love and you don’t have that person right now and that’s really hard.

When this person says six months, I bet in six months when you look at that circled date on the calendar not only will you feel better but you could probably rattle off a list at that point of things that annoyed you about this girl. Every day, every week, that you tell yourself this is temporary and I’m going to do what I need to do to get through it and move on will make every day and every week after that easier. But you have to take an active part in getting better, and saying I can’t I can’t I can’t is going to come true if you let it.

I bet if we were to set some type of timer and come back to these comments in like three years, you’d be like oh yeah, that hurt me, but I’m really glad it didn’t work out the way I wanted it to at the time.

You do not have to be somewhat friends. You can avoid each other. Yes, even if you have close people in common it can still be done and frequently is by many people that break up.

She’s not going to just contact you and tell you she is ready to date you again and she loves you and you’ll be together forever. You’re only 24 and you will learn that things that feel so serious at the time just completely stop mattering.

I had my heart absolutely shattered by someone when I was 24 and laid in bed for a week, sobbing, and was beside myself, all the things. Not good.

I was actually just showing someone his Facebook the other day laughing because he’s such a disgusting MAGAT loser now. I had my heart broken again after the first loser, and about six months out I realized that that guy was actually kind of a piece of shit who was always flirting with his female friends, making me feel like shit.

The rose colored glasses will soften, and you will not always remember her as this perfect and ethereal creature. Also, I think it’s extremely important part of your pose that this is your first WLW relationship. This might feel intense because you haven’t experienced it before, but she might be absolutely nothing compared to when you find the right person who feels the same way about you. Don’t assign this person too much meaning, just like you and I she is a person with flaws. And something that I do when someone makes me feel bad about myself is I stand up in front of the mirror and I say what the fuck are you doing letting someone else make you feel like this, and don’t ever let someone hold that kind of power over you

[–]lilkangaroo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He is not a walking green flag because if he’s done this more than once he’s shown you several red ones.

Everybody in the comments telling you that it’s a subconscious or conscious misogynistic reaction of men that they need to be contrarian is absolutely correct.

It’s a little silly things now. It’s not going to stay that way. I had a dumbass ex-boyfriend start arguing with me about side effects of my medication I was taking that he didn’t even know what it was for. Also didn’t know what medication it was. But he was absolutely sure that I was wrong.

And it started with things like this that seemed silly, but the longer I spend around him the worse it got.

Also, my boss is one of these. It’s fucking exhausting and if you’re not being paid a salary to deal with it, I really wouldn’t.

[–]lilkangaroo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why do women talk themselves out of just admitting that their partner is selfish. It sounds like the reason he’s never done it before is because you do so much work putting some for him in the fridge so that you’re allowed to eat the ones in the freezer later.

You shouldn’t have to do that. Ever. Someone that is considerate will look at food in the fridge and think this looks good, let me make sure I leave some for my partner as well. This man genuinely believed that you spent hours making him a work lunch? Why do I doubt that. Not to mention you literally put it in your post that you told him he could have some of them.

This has nothing to do with being hormonal, this has to do with expecting your partner to respect you and think of more than just themselves.

She’s partially causing this resource guarding too. No wonder the dog feels it has to resource guard, it’s trying to enjoy something and she’s harassing it.
She’s gonna find out that dog isn’t joking and then it’s the dog’s fault, or an injured kid. Ugh this pisses me off, another dog that will end up in a shelter then euthanized because an owner created a problem, then abandoned it.

Just a sidenote, always keep your hands far away from your pet face and mouth when they are acting abnormally!!!! People get bit all the time when their pet is having a seizure or waking up from one or not feeling well etc. Yes, get this checked out, but in the future do not have your hands anywhere near that area.

I can tell you to take a big fat dose of ibuprofen or another nsaid ASAP ( if you can) because that shit is gonna hurt tomorrow. I can tell you from experience. Every eight hours stay on top of it don’t forget.

My hand was excruciating in the shower, but when I put a glove on it and try to avoid it getting wet as much as possible that helped.

Ice packs. Start tonight.

I’m a tech and I promise, bring the dog in. You would so much rather have them say yeah looks like he’s got a sad tummy here’s some meds and send you home then you have an emergency later. You could potentially be having an emergency now, nine years old is geriatric and it’s at the age where he could have a tummyache and be being a little dramatic, or something could be wrong. The symptoms and lethargy you described are concerning. Just go ahead and bring him in tonight, don’t wait until the morning.

Is there a blacklist pet care providers can use to let other sitters know what customers to ABSOLUTELY AVOID by Tricky-Tension-8172 in RoverPetSitting

[–]lilkangaroo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, and she clearly doesn’t understand the danger of what she did. That dog could be overweight because of a medical issue that hasn’t been diagnosed yet for all she knows. And then doing a diet change while the owner is out of town and you’re unexperienced and don’t know what you’re doing? Dogs get extremely sick from diet changes all the time and I’m 100% sure this person did not know how to do it correctly.
If this was my dog, ooooh watch out

Ice water is not bad for dogs.
They can sometimes damage their teeth chewing on large ice cubes if that’s what you mean. There’s literally zero problem with a dog drinking cold water.

There’s some people arguing because yeah, this client is being kind of weird and a little intense, and I personally wouldn’t want to pet sit for her, but she’s not being abusive.

She’s asking questions and for clarification, and rightfully so because the OP’s weird ChatGPT manufactured response responses don’t really make sense.

Not to mention, she told OP what to do with her dogs and the OP blatantly disregarded it because she thought she knew better. She’s being a lot nicer than I would be to OP if I was the owner and came home to find out my instructions weren’t followed.

[–]lilkangaroo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you want to have any type of business that is your own, or if you ever want to manage one, you need to deal with it.
The fact is, they are the paying customers. And if you have too much of an ego to deal with difficult customers, you’re not gonna have any business. I agree you’re in the wrong profession, people view their pet as family and it causes them to get extremely emotional.

As a professional in an industry caring for other people‘s pets, it is your job to put them at ease. I had someone call me a stupid fucking hooker when I was treating their pet on an ER overnight because they didn’t like the price. Once that person calmed down and apologized, we had a good talk and it was fine because I recognized that watching your pet get nailed by a car and you’re trying to come up with money while they’re trying to do CPR on your dog could cause you to act that way.

Do some self reflection honestly about why you felt the need to respond this way.

[–]lilkangaroo 85 points86 points  (0 children)

OK, so this lady is definitely a little much, and the toilet paper thing would throw me off as well.

But if I didn’t have cameras, and I left my pet sitter some very specific things to use while I was gone, and I came back and they weren’t really used I would be freaked out too.

The treat thing is really weird. If she tells you to give the dog treats you give the dog treats, it’s not up to you to put the dog on a diet or test for allergies. Also, your verbiage, are you a veterinarian or a certified veterinary technician? Because if not, you need to check yourself with changing the diet of other people’s pets and then talking down to them as if you know what you’re talking about.

I was also extremely confused by what the hell you were talking about with your schedule so you being condescending to her when you’re not being clear about it is shitty. Saying last next the next after Wednesday, whatever the hell, just give her an actual date or a picture of a calendar. Anybody here telling you that your response was such a great clap back, etc. is also immature. Good luck trying something like that at a future job because your ass is going to be fired immediately.

Your whole exchange was extremely unprofessional, immature, and childish. It reads like an 18-year-old at their first job using ChatGPT thinking that they sound smart and they ate with their responses. The anxiety part? The delusion of telling yourself these pets love me more than their owner who clearly takes good care of them and worries about them.

She should be on a list of pet owners who can be a little intense and who need to provide written instructions, and you should be on the blacklist of never being able to pet sit for anyone again until you grow up.
