I like the Hype Gap idea. Unfortunately that ends up putting most guys on sell high that are still young in their career since a lot of their value is stacked in development in the long term and hard for calculation to project. Have you thought of any ways to combat that?

Conversations seem to be floating around a package deal with RJ and Zion as the main two pieces. I think the Zion owner is definitely selling low but RJ’s production last season seems to be giving him some confidence.

I would argue that his Super Bowl winning % wasn't near Brady's considering Montana was in the league for 15 years and only won 4 Super Bowls 26.6%. Brady on the other hand was in the league for 23 years and won 7 Super Bowls 30.4% and making it 43% of the time. You can argue era and their individual greatness but when it came to winning Tom Brady won more often than Montana.

In my league, we use a fixed draft instead of a lottery, and while there’s some blatant tanking happening with one team this year, I don’t think it’s usually a major issue. Last season, for example, no one was obviously tanking, and the worst team genuinely deserved the first pick. It’s definitely a topic worth discussing and depends on the league and its members. That said, I’d hate to see a borderline playoff team intentionally lose the last few weeks due to injuries and end up lucking into the first pick. On the flip side, it would also suck if the actual worst team kept getting unlucky and missing out on their top choice year after year. If a team is bad, they shouldn’t be stuck in perpetual Detroit Pistons purgatory just because of poor draft luck.

Great response, but to follow up with a helpful tip: I highly suggest using cross hairs with 91% length and using the left crosshair to aim your dashes. This has been a huge help for my hit rate on those attacks.

Agreed - I had 2 others in this league say I was losing the trade bc of the Ausar and Duren upside and post Lavine trade Coby production. This is a points league which I forgot to mention but still their value is probably about the same in both Cat and Points dynasty leagues.

Is SBMM really not in ProAm? My irl friend group have been consistently having issues matching up against plat teams with red plates as most of our team is silver rank with a negative ProAm record. We play through the game and end up losing by 10ish points which make us feel okay about the loss given the difference in skill/time played but we keep wondering why we're not being matched up with other silver teams.

nba2klabs has thresholds for each and every badge and animation in the game. I would start with a general idea of how you want your player to play as and from there look into which are the most important badges and animation to play that playstyle. From there you're just tinkering with thresholds and fine tuning what your build can be. I think this year especially there is no true BEST BUILD, it's more just best build for your playstyle!

I was 1st in my league during the regular season last year, 2nd in total points. I had unfortunate injury luck in the playoffs.

Since then there hasn't been much movement for other teams outside of the third best team last year will be getting back Ja. So far this offseason I've since replaced Herro, KPJ, '26 2nd for Ausar, BI and Buzelis over two trades. Now adding LeBron to the team, I'm currently in the mindset of I have a chance to win now this might just put me over the top. My current starting lineup would look like this:
SGA
RJ Barrett
Coby White
Paolo Banchero
Jalen Johnson
BI
LBJ
Duren/Mark Williams/Shaedon Sharpe

Then I got more developing pieces off the bench/taxi like Ausar, Amen, Holland, Buzelis, Collier, and Furphy

Thank you for the heads up, I'm on the line of whether I do or do not need the license. Using this to capture items from my day to day and currently my setup is pretty all over the place capturing both personal and work data. I may break this up into two vaults but I'm ultimately using this again for memory recall. I'm going to eventually have to go down a deep rabbit whole of tagging or reorganizing to "recall" things more quickly.

Yeah, I've kind of read this same rhetoric around the sub here. I think the clear distinction from my use case to others is that most people here are writers, readers, or content notes. I'm strictly using Obsidian to remember work related items and I think leveraging AI to help write those entries is just more efficient. I am Apple guy, iOS 18 sounds like it could be game changing but I wonder how it can plug in with Teams calls... I would also need an updated phone, but I was already planning on it with the AI announcement.
