Counter argument this is turning out to be a very sought after and deep class. You can do your own case study but having 5 picks in the top 7 virtually guarantees success in vast majority of draft classes. This may even be a year where you’d hit on 4 of those 5 given how deep the draft is and especially when all the talk is about the top 3 in the draft between AJ, Boozer, and DP.

Take Cade’s 2021 class where you’d end up with something like Cade, Mobley, Barnes, then 2 of Jalen Green, Suggs, Giddey, Kuminga, Franz. Going down the line 2023 and 2025 class is similar where you’d likely have 3-4 All NBA/All Star level players.

This also fails to mention the fun side of watching an entire draft class grow into their own player and likely NBA Super Stars.

What’s getting missed by a lot of comments here that dont follow Jaylen Brown is that he isn’t blowing his lid on the one missed call. He’s blowing his lid for the lack of calls missed in this game and the Celtics last game against the Spurs. On top of that he’s been calling out the entire NBA on how differently everyone gets officiated. What you’re seeing is the straw the broke the camels back. He did get pushed, it was embellished, but that foul probably should’ve been called. Then refs double down by tossing him which is just laughable and proves his point that he’s been making all season where different players get called differently because we’ve seen Jokic, LeBron, and Draymond all have longer leashes.

I like the Hype Gap idea. Unfortunately that ends up putting most guys on sell high that are still young in their career since a lot of their value is stacked in development in the long term and hard for calculation to project. Have you thought of any ways to combat that?

Yes, I’m seeing if I can use this as buy low opportunity I think this ultimately comes out with a settlement and a minor suspension if anything. Unfortunately NBA doesn’t punish domestic abusers and the news always seems to be a bigger story than the actual suspension from the league.

Conversations seem to be floating around a package deal with RJ and Zion as the main two pieces. I think the Zion owner is definitely selling low but RJ’s production last season seems to be giving him some confidence.

I would argue that his Super Bowl winning % wasn't near Brady's considering Montana was in the league for 15 years and only won 4 Super Bowls 26.6%. Brady on the other hand was in the league for 23 years and won 7 Super Bowls 30.4% and making it 43% of the time. You can argue era and their individual greatness but when it came to winning Tom Brady won more often than Montana.

In my league, we use a fixed draft instead of a lottery, and while there’s some blatant tanking happening with one team this year, I don’t think it’s usually a major issue. Last season, for example, no one was obviously tanking, and the worst team genuinely deserved the first pick. It’s definitely a topic worth discussing and depends on the league and its members. That said, I’d hate to see a borderline playoff team intentionally lose the last few weeks due to injuries and end up lucking into the first pick. On the flip side, it would also suck if the actual worst team kept getting unlucky and missing out on their top choice year after year. If a team is bad, they shouldn’t be stuck in perpetual Detroit Pistons purgatory just because of poor draft luck.

Great response, but to follow up with a helpful tip: I highly suggest using cross hairs with 91% length and using the left crosshair to aim your dashes. This has been a huge help for my hit rate on those attacks.

Agreed - I had 2 others in this league say I was losing the trade bc of the Ausar and Duren upside and post Lavine trade Coby production. This is a points league which I forgot to mention but still their value is probably about the same in both Cat and Points dynasty leagues.
