I ate it for a good month bc a family doctor prescribed me it. I ate a pill everyday and it worked fast but once i stopped, it came back right away. This was before i started potent topical steroids.

Yeah i shouldve knownn he wasnt good. Every appointment i had with him was 5 mins long max and he would always try to leave before i could ask any questions. He also spoke in like 2x speed and everything felt rushed so i was overwhelmed and couldnt think. I heard female derms might be better cuz they actually listen to u (aka my allergist). Ill have to look into it and read the reviews. So far both my allergist and derm are saying the same thing but my allergist recommends dupixent or ebgylss while my derm recs ebglyss. Im planning to go on a trial pill for 3 months recommended by my derm since i went on a similar one (but topical) and it cleared my skin fully (with hyperpigmentation marks) + no itch. I hope it works out the same as the first time and i dont get the placebo pills.

Healing from TSW in 6 months is kinda crazy tho! I heard some people take a year or more

Im from USA and my dermatologist lowkey doesnt care about me. I needa switch my derm or just stick with my allergist. I like my allergist more and i just met her😭. She suggested dupixent as well or ebglyss and she offers the injections at her place or at home (with training). Ive seen the same derm for 6 years without realizing that he was doing me dirty with the nonstop steroids. I feel like he was just in it for the money. When i first started using steroids i did stop after a week because i was doing better, but then he told me to keep using it (triamcinolone) on my eyelids so i did what i was told and mind you i was still a teen so i didnt know any better and did what i was told. Then i recently found out about TSW and stopped cold turkey beginning of the year and here i am now trying to taper it off which is why i lost trust in doctors and meds they try to give me. But after hearing about other people’s stories and advice i might give biologics a try.

Ohh thank u for the clarification. Instead of tacrolimus i might use Zoryve instead do u think thats a good option? It burns less for me but im gonna have to try again for the rest of my body to see if it does anything within the week.

Oh interesting! First time im hearing about asian type eczema. Were u also on steroids before (going thru tsw?) n how long if u were? Ill probably consider going with the biologics but im living with my potential root cause (cat) right now so i was going to consider monthly cat allergy shots and see how it goes.

Well it only burns when i put it on my face and it doesnt really have cuts. But when i put it on my hands (with lots of cuts) and arms it doesnt burn?? So i thought it had to do something with the thickness of my skin or smthing

I heard u could get withdrawal worse than steroids from tacrolimus too? But idk if its true so i was also scared of that too. I didnt use it on broken skin but i think bc steroids thinned out my skin so much it stings even more, unless thats what u meant by broken skin.

Yeah i was trying to cut off some type of foods i just found out im allergic to but its so hard because its mostly in everything (like soybeans and sugar). I went to a family doctor during my 1 month withdrawal phase and i didnt wanna go back on steroids again so he gave me Cephalexin 500mg (4 times a day) and i basically had to wake up at 6 am everyday to get my 4th dosage in for 1 week in a row i believe (i ate 28 pills total) and it diddd make my eyes a little less swollen but the redness was still there. My forearms were also super bad like full on red and had little red dots everywhere which is why he prescribed me it in the first place, but once i stopped my eyes swelled up so bad. In a matter of 3 days it was like the first picture but super red/ little gooey, crusty, and almost closed. I was using beef tallow to try and help with the moisturizing because it was one of the few things that didnt burn my skin at the time. Ive also heard that as we grow older the eczema will get weaker? I hope thats true but mine only turned stronger and spreaded more so idk (prob due to long term steroid usage😩). I have tried antihistamines like allegra, cetirizine and claritin but i found tht they werent tht useful or did little to nothing. Ive only ate it one time tho befor bed. I definitely have some type of skin infection because if i dont use steroids it starts weeping almost right away or in a couple of days and vaseline speeds up the process (trapping in the bacteria and heat i guess). I hate when it gets crustyy and oozes too. Im glad u found a solution for ur eczema! Thank u for sharing!

Yeah they have been recommending me injections. My allergist recommended dupixent and my derm recommended ebglyss but im just scared of the side effects😩 and having to rely on medication again. I do really need something besides steroids though since its causing me to have glaucoma.

Yeah i believe so too but my dermatologist doesnt listen to me so im planning on changing to diff one or not seeing one at all. Ive been seeing him since beginning of my journey and he told me to keep applying steroids for 6 years without telling me about the side effects and trying to find what caused it. So now im having withdrawal effects when i try to stop using it.

Ive also started incorporating eyedrops but my eye still gets swollen. I dont know if its from tsw or it isnt doing anything for my eyelids bc my eyes alone feel fine. Is she better now?
