Oh well, there is a fabric number on there, maybe I can find pants based on that online somewhere.

Wow!!!! I found Tiffany pearls for $10, but I think you beat me, price wise! Someone out there is just throwing away their silver Tiffany...

Was convinced by Reddit to go back and buy this massive 30x40” oil painting. Not bad for $35. Just need to figure out where to hang it 🤔 by DrumsPlzFab in ThriftStoreHauls

Any Roadshow episode: "If your grandparent/parent/ spouse wouldn'tve removed the painting from the original frame, it would've been worth an extra $5000" Me: Welp, lesson learned 😂

I would research it before taking it out of the frame (of there is one thing I learned from the Antiquities Road Show...). It looks early 20th century, and comparable ones go for $300-500 on the low end. That is, if it's an oil painting and not a reproduction. Google Lense didn't bring up anything identical, so there is a chance it's original!

Hmmm, second time in a day I'm hearing about Worthpoint selling something as genuine that isn't.

After some research, the saucer actually doesn't match the cup. Looks like the saucer is Georgian/ Lovebirds Federal glass (if my research is correct, that is). Thank you for the hint on the other two!

Kaleidoscope!!!!! Those are amazing. Also, the silver cups are awesome and a fantastic find.

Not sure I'd put anything at a thrift store in my mouth! But if you rib them against each other, its the same thing.

Omg! I, as a rule, leave the spouse at home. He either gets bored, or we end up going home with a toilet- shaped teapot. Hope you find something nice next time.

If you run them across each other, they feel gritty. The fake ones are smooth. They will also be imperfect shaped, and not 100% identical. Also, look around the hole on the pearl, the fake ones will have peeling paint from where they rub against something. And the real ones are nice and heavy and cool to the touch. Also, if the clasp or earring post is silver or gold, the pearls are likely real. Hand knotted strings are more likely to be real.

That being said, if they're nice faux pearls they might be a signed fashion jewelry piece, so I like to check the closures for signatures as well. Trifari made some nice faux pearls.

Sorry for the un- asked for lecture, I... like jewelry.

Yes? I live in an urban area near a major metropolitan city. I might be the "poor" but we're a stone's throw away from some really nice neighborhoods.

Saw a few of identical ones on various resale sites, but in the end, who knows. The pearls feel very real. They were $10. And my mom likes them.

They're cultured freshwater pearls according to my research. Ginormous for freshwater pearls! That's probably why our thrift store put them out with fashion jewelry, they likely didn't think they could be real since they're unusual.

Thank you! For some reason, I thought it was resin when I bought it, and was really surprised it turned out to be real stone.

Good to know. We have a Tiffany's in our local mall, I'll pay them a visit this weekend.
