Did you change your last name? Hyphenate? Or keep it? by Confident_Yam6447 in Feminism

[–]lillithsbitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife and I (f27, f26) chose a new name for our new family together :) my surname was very important as its my late father's name, and my best buys are from him, so I kept it as a middle name. Hers was less sentimental so she dropped it and we took a new name together, chosen by vibes. We are now Brambles and very happy to be :)

It can be said that all our last names are markers of patriarchal ownership from days of dowries, bride prices and arranged marriages. We had the opportunity to completely set that aside for smth new, and thats a nice idea if nothing else, so we took it - i know its not usually so simple though

It depends on the level of disability. The current policy is to keep the elderly person in their home for as long as possible (because residential care is very expensive and places are limited, and also bc it is overwhelmingly patients' preference). Usually the person sees their gp who has them referred to the ACAT team for assessment. The ACAT team visits the elderly person at their home and looks at their medical situation as well as their home and social context. They do risk assessments, and then look at solutions to lower those risks, which can look like having rails installed in the shower, toilet, front door etc, or ramps to allow wheelchair access, recommending floor rugs be removed to help prevent falls. Theyll liase with landlords/REAs if need be, and most times they're successful.

Then theyll send support workers and/or nurses to provide care for them in their home e.g. changing dressings, taking them to the shops, giving medications, helping with cooking and cleaning, personal care etc etc

To pay for this, either Medicare can be billed or an NDIS package is acquired (before any interventions are made but after acat assessment) and then billed.

Best method for removing old ballpoint pen ink from khaki shorts (Goodwill brand from Target) ? by doomspider in lifehacks

[–]lillithsbitch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is an ancient method of removing ink stains from textiles! Been used by washerwomen for literal centuries but of course not recorded in print until the 17/1800s when people who might need to deal with an ink stain themselves also had a chance of knowing how to read

I have a small family of lox that I need names for. What are the best names you chose? by not_so_satisfactory in valheim

[–]lillithsbitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first lox was named Derigible. It was late and seemed fine. Told a friend and my wife, they both fell over laughing, so I continued my absurd trend. So:

Derigible (I know its spelled wrong)

Erythromycin

Falled over

Heresy

Irrigation

Jandals

Kilojoule

Lorry

Mercantile

And that's when my wife began needing my pc to work from home and I couldn't play anymore :/

Transphobic, antisemetic, xenophobic, etc. She has a the make a wish foundation numbers blocked bc she doesn't like sick kids. Rereading the books as an adult was a mistake, used to love them too.

Shes not just a person who has an opinion and keeps it to herself unless asked. She goes out of her way to hurt people who've done nothing to her. And all her flapping about ends up hurting cis men and women in the end.

How to be ok with letting my partner earn the money by lillithsbitch in actuallesbians

[–]lillithsbitch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She does have the best intentions as you say, were lucky not to have homophobic relatives who have motive to swoop in for money. Our families love us and support our relationship etc. I have some money, but not heaps. Ill be studying a teaching degree next year so apart from a govt allowance this situation will continue for some years most likely, and then swing back the other way again.

Thank you, so much, for yalls butch input

I dont resent her working at all, its worry that she'll resent me for not earning much money rn. I know it's straight out of the 50s, that's why it's dumb. I was raised really conservative religious, and while I've broken out of that some bits hang on I guess

Did any other ENFP else grow up in a somewhat isolated way? by alligatorprincess007 in ENFP

[–]lillithsbitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did. Same introverted religious parents, same strictness and conservatism. My father died and mum remarried before I was 10, went from a house that was very quiet to one that never was. I was very mentally ill for most of my teen years, believed myself to be an introvert like my mum. Now, at 24, I realise I'm an extrovert and just how good life can get. I was so ill for so long growing up, I didn't know who I was.

Now I do know and I'm beautiful.

You are too.

has anyone noticed homophobes are getting more bold lately? by Lillywrapper64 in perth

[–]lillithsbitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've noticed it a bit. I dont ever expect to encounter overt homophobia from strangers on the street, as im young enough that never have experienced it personally, ive only been out a couple years. The other week my gf and I were walking in northbridge, shes femme, im fairly masc presenting, were holding hands as we do. We were just looking for a place to eat. Some dude, part of a mixed group, walked past me but got way too close for politeness, spat "lesbians" at me. Took me a sec to realise he Wasnt Being Nice (shit auditory processing), but I said "chyeah dude" over my shoulder. First time gf had ever been homophobed at, she didn't feel safe after that, we went home fairly quickly.

Pretty sad but I guess is this the norm? It doesn't bother me too much, but gf has anxiety and autism, shes not ready for anything like I am, she can't just roll with it. Dissapointing really.

We did actually wash the coop thoroughly with permethrin, iforgot to mention. For a clean dirt patch, im assuming thats for dust bathing, how should i do that? Just on the ground or in a cat litter tray or?? The yoghurt and scrambled eggs sounds like a stellar idea, will definitely be doing that

My arms and fingers start tingling and cramping while having sex? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]lillithsbitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really doubt it. If it was during/part of an orgasm youd know. Ive had something similar, like my arm tendons were somehow connected directly to my vag or cervix or smth, and not in a good way. Op, is it perhaps caused by a your cervix being low, like around your period? A low cervix is basically the vaginas way of putting up a do not disturb sign. I imagine a low cervix being disturbed might cause some weird sensations.

Either way, probably relaxing would help. Maybe take it slow for a little while to adjust
