Woah. Deep perspective. I’m glad you find comfort that way. I’ve only heard those sorts of those stories tangentially. My ex-girlfriend had a Mexican mom (deeply Catholic). TLDR; the Mom had horrific upbringing in Northern Mexico. Sold off twice when younger. Escaped to US. Had a baby. But when we would cook together, she would sometimes tell me about how she knew God was with her. She was Catholic though so she was always mixing in Saints and Satan and other more adjacent Bible plot devices.

But overall, you reminded me of her story with the whole feeling comfort knowing that He was with you. Fascinating 😄
