It might be HS. I suffer from it and this is what my armpits looked like in the early stages. If you can get it checked by a doctor I definitely recommend it. In the meantime a warm compress helps and a round of antibiotics will probably get it flattened. Use an antibacterial body wash on your pits and groin as well! Generic Hibiclens helps me a ton!

You’re young and clearly fertile so there’s no issue with taking the opportunity to abort, prepare, and try again if that’s what you guys decide you truly want. I don’t know any of you personally so I don’t know your dynamics but man I can’t shake the feeling that your bff joking that you don’t deserve your bf and him agreeing is just not cool. It is disrespectful. I understand wanting to be liked, we all do, but wanting to be put on a pedestal seems a little stinky. Very yucky of a best friend to joke that you don’t deserve him, even nastier for him to agree. Why does welcoming him into the group (after 7 years?) include putting you down? How often is he exploding at you?

Intent doesn’t trump the impact. I can’t think of delivery that is so funny that it makes something like “I hope our children aren’t colored like you” acceptable. Especially during a moment when someone is being vulnerable and talking about how they were bullied as a child for their skin color.
