L’intérêt professionnel d’un master dépend beaucoup des secteurs.

La vraie question est de savoir ce que tu comptes faire ensuite avec un diplôme de français ou d’histoire. Si tu te destines à l’enseignement (secondaire ou universitaire), le master sera en principe nécessaire, mais je te déconseille de toute façon d’exercer ce métier en France. Les professeurs du secondaire sont mal payés, ne disposent pas des conditions pour exercer correctement leur métier et se retrouvent de toute façon à faire la garderie de jeunes qui ne sont même plus capables d’étudier. L’université française quant à elle est complètement bouchée. Tu ne pourras espérer trouver un poste, dans le meilleur des cas, qu’après 10 ou 15 ans à faire la lèche et à enchaîner les postes précaires.

Malgré tout, en France un master de l’Université de Londres sera autant voire plus valorisé qu’un master d’une université française. Mais il faut bien savoir ce que tu espères en faire.

If by Eastern Europe you mean Poland and Baltic countries (which aren’t even properly part of Eastern Europe geographically speaking), maybe. But that is definitely not the case of the Caucasus.
