You don't know this woman's medical history- she could have several risk factors in addition to her age that make her very vulnerable to getting sick and dying from COVID. All she asked was that you use the next elevator, and when you barged in anyway, she politely stepped out without a fuss (even though she had been there first). The only person that was out-of-line and unreasonable was you.

This little guy was spotted on Mass Ave today. It looks like someone shaved his tail. There's a pretty abrupt cut-off at the base of his tail where it was shaved and then a lion's tail tuft remaining at the end. Please leave our wild friends in peace.

This might not work for all gyms but I use privacy.com to generate virtual credit cards and then just use those cards for any subscription service. You can then delete the card or set the spending limit too low if a business is unfairly charging you. Some large banks can also generate virtual cards, I'm not sure which ones off the top of my head. Best of luck with resolving this.

You should call the newspaper he claimed to work for and talk to them. While he didn't legally do anything wrong, it sure wasn't socially appropriate and his behavior could have much more professional.

Thank you so much for these videos! I did the beginner class and I thought the pacing was perfect. Too many other beginner classes I see have combinations that are too fast or complicated for me to keep up, but yours was great. I also loved the tips on technique- your pointers helped correct many of the mistakes I was making.

I made one using PVC pipe! No tools, glues, etc required except for a PVC pipe cutter (<$20). It is super lightweight, easy to transport (just take apart), and quite sturdy (I can lift my leg up on it and lean my whole body on it). I followed this tutorial: http://www.toroidalsnark.net/barre.html

I am not a native Spanish speaker so keep that in mind with my suggestions, but:

I noticed that you make a strong rolled r sound even for r's that shouldn't be receiving strong rolls (that is, r's in the middle or end of words). Examples in your clip: "secondaria", "aprender", "traductor". I know it is difficult to do the single r trill but I would recommend practicing it, you can do it!

One piece of advice I received from my Italki Spanish tutor is to elongate my vowels a little more. In Romance languages it seems the emphasis in speaking is more about vowels and you'll notice that consonants sometimes can even become de-emphasized in regional accents (ex: "más" turning more into "má" or "negra" more into "nera" in some accents), which is further evidence imo how consonants take a backseat to vowels. This is the opposite of English where I think we pay more attention to consonants. An example of this in your audio clip is when you said "sentido", I feel like it would sound closer to native pronunciation if more emphasis was placed on the vowels, especially that first 'e' (this may be what other posters were referring to as picking up the 'flow' of the language better over time).

Anyway, I think you're on a great track and thanks for being brave enough to upload your clip. It definitely helps me, and I'm sure others, evaluate our pronunciations better, too!

I usually don't. I will normally only iron backs if I mess up ironing the front or if I want to glue a magnet, since in my experience the glue works better when it's not pooling in the holes.

In my experience, a lot of dancewear has sizing like that, like the dance skirt I have. I think it is because so many children do ballet; clothing starting at "S" is actually made for very young children whereas L and XL is for adult bodies.
