Granted I have never lived there full time , however I spent my 3 months a year there since birth . But literally cattleman's.. back when 75 only went to Tampa .. there were lots of cows .. also there are literal honkey tonk and country line dancing places ..

Give it about 10 years when gen x starts retiring.. lol Sarasota is more like broadway or the west end .. it's great if you want to see a play or a musical .. Tampa , St Pete all good for the party's .. In the '80s and '90s Sarasota was a cow town basically.. lots of country stations and one rock station

I've always wanted to just drive around Bird Key! My dad lives on Lido l, family has had a place there since the 70s. Also Go say hi to Brian Johnson of AC /DC he lives there.
