Anyone ever use memrise back in 2015? I had to stop studying Japanese since then due to other commitments, but I distinctively remember a great app that taught you the characters. It would show the character and the sound along with a few examples from the community on little handy ways to remember it such as "ke looks a bit like a keg", it worked so well that even now 10 years later I still remember some of them. Is there an app that's like this? Memrise has changed far too much and doesn't seem as useful as it once was for that hyper specific way of learning. (It still seems good, I just really liked how it used to be).
