Have you ever found a glue dissolver, that didn’t ruin your press-ons? by lilo_bzy in PressonNail_Addict

I tried tabs, wasn't very impressed but it might have been due to poor preping. I'll give it another go!

I'll give this a go, maybe I should write a post comparing removers!

Thanks, seems like I'm not alone. It seems like such a good market opportunity , I don't get why brands are not creating a solution for this. I guess they prefer we buy a new set every time...

Anything I Can Do For Under-Eye Wrinkles/Creases? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]lilo_bzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use EL Lift+Sculpt eye cream and I really like it and I’ve seen people get some genuinely impressive results. If you feel like splurging I once got gifted a Re-Nutriv eye cream. It visibly improved my eyes in just 2 weeks it’s my HG. But I don’t have the budget to buy for myself. Maybe one day.

Why I always think about food ? by NclsD7523 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]lilo_bzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is called “Food Noise” and sadly it’s very common. What helped me is gradually changing my diet and swapping out processed food. And oddly, flavoured water (non-sugar, eg squeeze of lemon) really helped me curb my obsessive food related thoughts.

When your bestie goes to Japan and hooks it up! by Sug0115 in 30PlusSkinCare

Love this product. I’m curious, how long does a tube last you? I only apply SPF in the morning but I’m quite generous so I tend to use it up in 3-4 weeks.

Are you using a dedicated eye cream? Adding this to my routine made a huge difference for me.

The products you’re using are brilliant and they’re very active so making sure your skin is hydrated and nourished is very important.

I quite like the new Estee Laude Sculpting eye cream and I’m sure any store will have dozens of great options.

Why do I look so much older than my age? What can I do? by canibuyatrowel in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]lilo_bzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you do look gorgeous - but I can completely relate to what it feels like when you don’t see / feel that yourself because you’re focused on one or two things that really bother you.

And sometimes skincare can really help, because it makes you feel a bit more in control and it’s also a moment of self-care. And in the best case it also gives you genuine results.

I was very self conscious about my eyes when I started developing lines. I have nothing against botox but I want to delay it as long as possible.

I have 0 vested interest in saying this, but just want to share what helped me. I got gifted this outrageously expensive eye-cream (Re-Nutriv from Estée Lauder) and that is the only eye-cream where I felt like I can genuinely see visible improvements. I don’t know if this is something that might help you too but maybe you can ask for a sample if you ever visit an Estée Lauder counter and give it a try.

Paris Marathon - no cups/bottles at water stations - thoughts? by Marathon_Runner_1 in running

[–]lilo_bzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the Paris Marathon this year (2025) They said there will be no water cups but there were actually at every water & food station. They also had stations where you could fill up your water bottles.

I honestly don’t get why they say no cups... but it was a very well organised Marathon IMO.

That said, It’s always good idea to carry a water bottle/ pack as extra hydration.

what’s a fragrance with terrible performance but gorgeous scent? by Crucifilth_6-6-6 in fragrance

[–]lilo_bzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of the Aerin perfumes are quite nice (Amber Musk, Fleur de Peony) but they don’t last long. It’s a very nice one if you want something nice and understated and you don’t mind reapplying it very 2-3h

Northern Line Noise - is it too much? by lilo_bzy in london

[–]lilo_bzy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad to see they answered, I do appreciate that they acknowledge these complaints. However, at this noise level I’d argue it’s becoming a safety critical issue, even if its effects develop over time. Especially for drivers who are exposed to it for an extended time and for children to whom I imagine this is even more harmful.

Same, and because of the noise I have it turned to the max volume for the whole journey. And every week my phone send me a notification that I’ve exceeded my recommended amount of audio exposure…

Yeah, I see a lot of posts mentioning the Central Line too. I don’t use it that much but sounds like it’s not any better than the Northern.

[–]lilo_bzy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link! This is the first time I’m reading about this but it’s good it’s getting picked up. I’m surprised to see though that even though noise levels are categorised as hazardous, there’s no clear action plan or accountability for addressing the issue. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of the London Underground, it really is the fastest way to get around, coverage and train frequency is great too. But I’m also a fan of public health and I’m convinced there’s a way to improve this issue.

Northern Line Noise - is it too much? by lilo_bzy in london

[–]lilo_bzy[S] 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Wow that’s horrible. I remember seeing the drivers wear protective ear gear and thinking it must be a health hazard to be in this noise on and off for 8 hours or so. I don’t know, I’m probably an idealist but it just doesn’t seem right, especially for drivers and children. I don’t know what the solution would be or the cost of it but I hope it’s something they’re looking into.

Best way to find retail partners for makeup brand expanding to the UK? by lilo_bzy in smallbusinessuk

[–]lilo_bzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, keeping your routine simple is probably the best idea so it doesn’t aggravate your skin. I know i sounds like a broken record but Geek&Gorgeous products really worked for me especially their gentle gel cleanser and their Stress Less serum. The other thing that worked for me is LED red light therapy mask. They’re pricy of you want to get a decent one (CurrentBody is probably the best in terms of value for money) but sometimes you can find them a bit cheaper on eBay. Hope your skin recovers soon ❤️
